Entering this store is like a time-travel into the past. The 2 lovely lady's have lots of old and beautiful things to offer, vintage in its best condition. It really is fun going there... And the great variety of tasty mixed teas, definitely worth it
Yesterday, my son and I had lunch at Zuid4 Leeuwarden. We absolutely loved it. It's a great place, the service is excellent, and the food is delicious. It was all absolutely delicious.
We had beers from Brouwdok in Harlingen, which we highly recommend. And of course, we had some snacks. For lunch, we had the Bao Bun Chicken and the Flammkuchten Salmon. Both dishes were fantastic. The presentation was lovely and the flavors were delicious.
We highly recommend Zuid4; we'll definitely be back!
We ate here for lunch last Sunday (an all-inclusive 4-course menu with wine pairing). We were pampered from start to finish. Everything was carefully thought out. The kitchen staff are, in my opinion, artists. The service was friendly, knowledgeable, and unpretentious. Not cheap, but it was an experience we'll remember forever.
Food was decent, but really disappointing service. Restaurant closes at 11. We showed up at 9:00 and the waitress seemed reluctant to serve us—tried to direct us to a different restaurant at the same hotel. We took a seat anyway because we were already there. After that, service was mixed, but here’s the kicker: by about 9:45 the wait staff disappear. There’s still four active tables but not a server to be seen, so we can’t order dessert. At 10:05–after 20 minutes—I hail someone to order a dessert. He goes to inquire (of the same gal who initially sat us) and then reports back, “We do have that, but I’m sorry to report that the kitchen is closed.” So basically the wait staff slow baked everyone by not visiting the tables, then claimed “Sorry, we’re closed” when a customer tried to place a dessert order—55 minutes before the restaurant is scheduled to close. A proper server would’ve visited all active tables before the kitchen closed to make sure they were square, but these folks—particularly the gal who seated us—clearly just wanted to get out of there early.
Went as part of a large group and had an amazing time! Friendly staff, good prices and lots of live music in the streets and dancing as part of a town celebration. It won’t be like this all the time… but a great night was had by all!
Would highly recommend this as a lovely little place to stop and have a drink during the day or night time.
Nice and cozy cafe. We were taken along in making different cocktails that we could also make and taste ourselves. A good atmosphere was present together in combination with new knowledge. Totality has made this a beautiful and unforgettable afternoon!
Thanks to megan
Een geweldige wijnbar naast een buurt functie voor iedereen een aanrader. De wijnen zijn heerlijk en de medewerkers heel persoonlijk en vriendelijk. Miranda maakt heerlikke gerechten en de sfeer is huiselijk. Topper!
We received an enthusiastic welcome from the owner and her colleague. The weather was lovely, so we started outside in the lounge with a delicious glass of bubbly and a few small delicacies. Inside, we sat at a spacious round table; the interior is lovingly coordinated, which is immediately apparent! A six-course menu followed, each dish featuring a picture of the dishes. It was great that they also use table service frequently, and from your table, you can also see the open kitchen in the center of the restaurant. Not only were the dishes delicious, but we also enjoyed the beautifully paired wines. We completed the evening by spending the night at their hotel, located across the street. We highly recommend this because, just like the restaurant, the hotel is also beautiful, and the breakfast is of exceptional quality! Thank you for your hospitality.
