De beste restaurants in Amsterdam

This is a hidden gem on Leidseplein! Friendly and efficient staff, delicious food, great acoustics, and a fun crowd. I'll be back!

The pizza itself was delicious, but unfortunately the aftermath was not. Both my friend and I got sick afterwards and spent hours in the bathroom the following morning, which completely ruined the experience. On top of that, there was a group of about ten people who were extremely loud. The noise was so loud that even my smartwatch alerted me about the sound level, yet the staff didn't intervene or ask the group to keep it slightly down. Sadly, because of both the food related issue and the atmosphere, i won't be coming back.

Very tasty food, good portions, and friendly staff, plus air conditioning indoors. I’m not usually a fan of sweet and sour chicken but theirs was delicious!

Food might be OK, but waiting well over 2 hours for a delivery and after calling several times making fake promises about the driver being en route is not OK….

Just had the best red chicken curry ever. Absolutely nothing to complain about. Very friendly staff; I even got a table without a reservation. If I'm ever in town again, this will be my first stop.

It's true they're currently closed (unfortunately). I think the phone number is for both locations. As IJburg parents, we love coming here. It's more spacious, so you don't feel like you're sitting on someone else's lap (which is often the case in the city). Friendly and efficient service. The food (steak tartare, steak, fish, vegetables) is good, and the drinks are wide and good (non-alcoholic Aperol, Pinot Noir, Chardonnay). One point for improvement would be the high chair's low position (so your little one doesn't really sit at the table), they don't have a changing table, and the worst part (in my opinion) is that they had to move the bench where you could enjoy an aperitif to the location in the north. It's also nice to sit outside (though there are pebbles) and often see a picturesque sunset.

Not my best experience in Amsterdam, and I go there often. The reception was unpleasant. We were seated in a nearly empty restaurant right next to an occupied table. After some protests, we were reluctantly ushered into another table. The food wasn't bad, but it was very pricey. I find that automatic tip on the bill an absolute scandal. Go do that in America and pay your staff properly. That is how we do it in the Netherlands.

Stopped here for a quick lunch. The female staff member was absolutely lovely. Food was good, not the best Italian i've ever had but does the job. The pizza is a little oily but if that's what you like then definitely eat here. Bruschetta was DELICIOUS.

I don't recommend this sushi place, as they have absolutely no choice on the menu. Furthermore, the €45 all-you-can-eat menu didn't even include sashimi. It's not at all like Italian sushi. A bottle of water costs €8, pure madness.

I return to this review 4 yes later after another visit. Still 5 Stars!

The best restaurant I ate at in Amsterdam

I've been coming here for years and it has become my go-to weekend ritual, which tells you everything. A couple of minutes from Bijlmer Arena Station, no reservation needed, and even on busy weekends there is always a spot inside or on the terrace, which in summer is the main reason to come. Coffee is self-service, they call your name when it is ready, and it comes with a small cookie on the side, a detail that sounds minor but lands well. The Norwegian breakfast is the one to order, and the poached eggs are excellent too. What makes the place work beyond the food is the team, staff from all over Europe, genuinely multicultural, and even when it is packed on a Saturday they hold it together. Not the cheapest option in the area, but there are not many options in Bijlmer on weekends full stop, and 30ML is open on Sundays. A reliable spot that I keep coming back to and have never left disappointed.

For a nice cup of coffee with the newspaper.
