This is the greatest bar in central Amsterdam in many ways. The barman is super friendly and the beer selection is always great. Recently enjoyed a 500ml Gaia pale ale for €8.50, which is pretty good value considering the location and competition . The small seating area outside is perfect for watching the antics of the red light district unfold. Well worth a visit
The oath meal cappuccino was delicious, and the dirty chai with double expressio too! The orange poppyseed cake's slice was generous, never had such a tick slice. Would definitely go back here when I'm in the area, no need to find another place.
I was at the door this morning at 7:25, but the bakery didn't open until after 8:00. If the opening hours are incorrect, please update them on your Google page.
Bravo for this superb place designed with children in mind! We had a wonderful time with our children, who were able to choose and cook their own food, and play both indoors and outdoors. A real gem! ❤️
Great, clean chip shop owned by Mr. Noes.
Just renovated, this chip shop is very nice, very well organized and serves delicious soft ice cream, and his children work there too.
Very nice shop.
Delicious food, open late, familiar face = the perfect solution to a long day. Always exxtra pittig for me, and never disappointing. The falafel is especially good, but where do they source their bread… Top tier, friendly. Just get something and sit on the plein with the jealous birds and enjoy it.
For a place I was looking forward to visiting for a while, the experience was severely underwhelming.
We went on a Saturday evening, it was not busy. The interior was very dark, but not in the atmospheric way. Very uninterested waiter seemed to be annoyed we were even there. He looked like he just walked inside from the street, including beanie hat. We were sceptical at this point, but decided to still give it a chance and ordered the spicy classic menu with mac and cheese. The chicken was juicy, but there was no spice at all. It seemed hardly seasoned. And the mac and cheese was lukewarm. When we were finished and the plates were taken away, moments later the waiter (without a word!) places the PIN terminal on our table and leaves again, leaving us staring at the "Add tip?" screen.
Really wishing for something positive to say but all around this was an awful experience. We went elsewhere to get some decent food. Props to whoever is running their social media - You really tricked us.
7 beers on tap and even more in bottles!
In Kontakt, it is old-fashioned cozy, even if you don't like football or Formula 1. Games, darts, and lots of fun! I’ve been coming for years and hope to keep it that way.
Watch out for the Magic Luck slot machine, and other machines too; don't stub your toe. But that is a sensible motto everywhere.
Great nuts (are peanuts nuts???)
The owner is a lazy and stubborn meatball with very inconsistent behavior: he knows about the hospitality industry but can be very mean and stubborn from a strategic point of view. Don't let that stop you up for a fun evening. Let's support the traditional pubs.
Positive points
- The person preparing the food was very friendly.
Negative points
- The products were expensive (€4 for a small bottle of juice...) even though everything seemed to be mass-produced (even the fries, which looked like they were from a factory when I was expecting homemade fries).
Over €30 for 2 fries, two sausages, 5 mashed potato balls, and 2 juices (see photos...).
A fast food place that's okay in a pinch, but nothing special.
