People should be a little more friendly to customers, not speak in a scolding tone. Not everyone should be a shopkeeper, in my opinion. I don't know if it's the owner or an employee, but the woman at the cash register acts like we've sworn at her; from the moment you walk in, she looks at you as if to say "don't come in." I ask if she can give me a bag, and she angrily says, "I will, sir."
If you can't do it, stay home. I don't recommend this to anyone; people like that don't deserve to earn money.
It is terrible there, always the same older woman who is new; she makes a mistake on the order every week. 3 times every Sunday now: a loose bag of fries, half-filled with 15 fries. Last time I waited half an hour for the order, it was forgotten, sat at the counter for 10 minutes, no ring from the beeper. It used to be good, but right now it is terrible. Last time I got a burger without a topping; I think I'm going to quit. Even KFC provides better service.
And that older woman sees that it isn't correct; she just hands it over, that says enough. Woman with short hair, same old story every week; she just comes over. Today with 15 fries with loads of sauce on the side. Every time I am served by this woman, something is wrong.
In February, I was waiting for an order of chips from next door when the barman came outside and started aggressively confronting random people who were sitting on what I can only describe as his scrapheap wheelbarrow bicycle.
After he made a series of racist and abusive remarks, I told him to leave us alone and grow up. His response was to punch me and threaten to stab me, with his hand twitching inside his pocket as he made the threat. It was a genuinely disgusting and unprofessional experience.
Whatever you do, do not frequent this place or give them your patronage. They are not worth your time or your money.
If you think this was a one-off incident, I encourage you to read the other reviews mentioning the aggressive behaviour of the barman. Based on what I experienced and what others have reported over several years, this does not appear to be an isolated occurrence.
I also noticed that photographs of this individual have since been removed from the business's page. Whether that was intentional or not, the business has had years of customer reviews raising concerns about this behaviour. In my view, after so many similar reports, responsibility extends beyond one individual and lies with the establishment that continued to employ and represent him. If you ever find yourself in a similar situation and feel threatened or unsafe, stand up for yourself and call the police if you need assistance. No one should have to tolerate intimidation or violence.
I thought my ramen was really disappointing. The soup was salty but lacked depth in flavour and the portion size was quite small. Also they didn’t serve it with bamboo shops.
Ordered €50 worth of food and they didn't show up. We drove past and found they were closed, even though they were listed as open online, so we were able to place an order.
I called and emailed several times on different days, but I haven't gotten a response.
Went to Bijenkorf Restaurant The Kitchen a few days ago and the food was honestly incredible. The salmon was perfectly cooked, super fresh, flavorful, and beautifully presented. Special thanks to Arissa, who prepared everything with so much focus and care, even during the busy moments. You can really tell she takes pride in her work. Definitely coming back again!
Good cappuccino, flavorful (although sometimes not hot enough). Good almond croissants. Service is a bit hit-or-miss, sometimes you get a nice smile, but more often a sense the staff would rather be elsewhere. Giving 4-stars because of the coffee.
