Came for a quick coffee, and was greeted by the sweetest girls Chai and Mariam. Coffee and matcha was delicious, and the carrot cake was super delicious and not too sweet. Great place to also sit and do some work.
Yesterday, I had lunch with my daughter at A&M. The order took a very long time, over half an hour. After inquiring, it turned out they'd forgotten it. She apologized, and said she'd look into it. The drinks were supposed to be free. We waited another half hour. When lunch was served, the plate was practically thrown in my lap. The joy of having lunch together was already gone. I quickly devoured the food. I asked for the bill. The coffee was charged anyway, with the argument that it had arrived on time...
Of course, I didn't pay, and I left feeling awful.
I don't know what the other pizzas there are like—we had the "Honey & Tartufo," and it was one of the most delicious pizzas I've ever had. You do have to like Italian fennel sausages, though, otherwise this tip won't help you at all.
Otherwise, the pizza was piled high, the dough was excellent—it couldn't be better, even in Italy. The place itself is rather simple—it seems they do more delivery than dining in. The service was friendly. Everything was perfect for our needs.
I ordered the lentil soup and the fried aubergine and, while I liked the lentil soup, the fried aubergine disappointed me a lot. Despite the name of the business and the pictures of the dishes on the screens at the restaurant, for some reason they served it in a tortilla wrap instead of a pita breas. It was not properly closed and the sauce fell everywhere, making it really uncomfortable to eat. The content of the wrap was also not worth the price (two pieces of aubergine, some salad and very spicy sauce for 10€). I think the place has a lot of potential but it should rethink some of the dishes, it seems other people also felt disappointed here.
Extremely filthy place. We were just about to go in and there was literally a rat outside the door. Through the window, you could see a couple inside. The terrace was also covered in rubble and dirt. Definitely one of the dirtiest cafes in Amsterdam. 100% not recommended.
The place is clean, but the service was slow. My food was good but not great. I had to wait, and finally said something about the length of time I was there....1.25 hours! They claim my order was lost.
Wow, I had such a fantastic meal here. It's such a shame I didn't know about this place before. The food is so flavorful and pure. The service is also fantastic and very friendly. I've truly found my go-to place!
