Excellent Bakker Bart branch. We would like to express our praise to the friendly staff. Even though we were a little late, we were assisted in a friendly manner and were allowed to enjoy the delicious pizzas in peace on the lovely terrace. Thank you for that.
Made a reservation for Wednesday evening at 6 p.m.
The restaurant was closed upon arrival.
An email or phone call would have been nice, it would have saved us the trip there.
Also called on site but no answer.
I think they are permanently closed.
I went for dinner here with a friend on Friday; I have been here before. Nice location, especially with some summery weather. Upon entering, water is immediately placed on the table, and we didn't have to wait long for two excellent pizzas. However, while eating dessert, we found two hairs in the panna cotta, which was very unappetizing. The staff responded reasonably appropriately and brought a new one.
Now for the feedback:
1) Putting a bottle of water on the table (750mL) and then charging €6.50 on the bill is, in my opinion, a poor choice. Good for revenue and profitability, but undesirable if you don't mention it in advance. If I am asked if I, as a guest, would like to receive water on the table, I simply expect it to come from the tap. Dutch tap water is of better quality than bottled water. The transport of those glass water bottles is also not exactly sustainable and is no longer acceptable in this day and age.
2) When hairs are found in food, as far as I am concerned, you should do a bit more than a quick apology and a new dessert (in this case). Examples of the correct action: removing dessert from the bill or offering a cup of coffee or something similar.
Because of these two points, we went home with a bitter taste in our mouths. Disappointing.
We ate here last Saturday evening.
The food is fine (the Moroccan meatballs were tasty, except that one was still a bit raw in the middle.) It happens, nothing to complain about. However, the ladies came to ask about every 10 minutes if everything was to our liking and if we wanted another drink (our glasses were still half full); a bit excessive. By the end, it just started to annoy us. It's good that they keep an eye on it, but come on...
Finally, the chicken of yesteryear is back!
Today I ate another delicious half chicken at ’t Braadspit. What a delight: the familiar taste of the past is completely back! Robert told me that he uses exactly the same spice blend as Jan van Eck. “It was just lying here in the cupboard.” 😄 Apparently, mixing the spices requires great precision. After I finished the first half chicken with fries, I immediately ordered my second half chicken 😋
It is great that this true Veghel classic is back, with the original taste. For me, absolutely 10 out of 10! Robert, keep up the good work! 👏🍗
Unfriendly staff.
When I asked if it’s possible if the sound could turn a bit lower. She responded dramatic, while a no was also answer.

The tomato juice we ordered was not on the menu; there was an unknown brand from a large, unknown bottle, which we were not told was 6 euros per glass. The club sandwich was very disappointing: two soggy, thick slices of bread with little flavor and not much green, and the bacon was inedible, so burnt and tough. When we mentioned this, the response was "sorry." The salad, however, was very tasty.
