Good afternoon, I have a complaint about De Beren in de Mare, in Alkmaar. This franchisee is making a mess of things. He does not pay his employees. Or he pays them too late. He simply buys his products from the supermarket. So everything on your menu. He doesn't have it. The food you do get is past its expiration date, dirty, and cold! The order is never complete. An insider saw that he has products lying in the freezer that are past their expiration date. If it falls on the floor, well, it just gets dumped on your plate. I think someone really needs to come and do an inspection, because these dirty practices are really dragging your reputation down. Today the newspaper reported that he has rent arrears of €32,000. Well, I wonder why that is? That this restaurant is still open is a mystery to most people. Sincerely, Mrs. Zondag Alkmaar

The so-called bucket of fries for €10.50 for 4 people is more like a small container of fries for 4 children or 3 adults who are barely hungry. Now, all 4 of us are still hungry. Make it a bit more expensive then, with a generous portion of fries for 4 actual adults.

Poorly filled sandwiches compared to other branches. Sauce was missing (didn't taste it), tomato was present in good measure but otherwise minimal. The bread itself was well baked. Not recommended, therefore, as it scores poorly in terms of fillings. Otherwise, friendly staff. Card payments only. In short, not recommended for various reasons.

The chef was friendly on the phone when we first called after the maximum wait time had passed. The delivery driver was also friendly when the food arrived, almost two hours later. Unfortunately, that was the only good thing about this order. The food was quite tasteless; the lukewarm temperature didn't help matters, and the prawn crackers, which had been discussed over three phone calls, were forgotten. It was nice that a free piece of spekkoek was included as compensation, but it was a shame it nearly fell apart from being dry. We will get a 20% discount on our next order! First world problems, of course, and the people were friendly, but the food was simply subpar and the spekkoek took a long time to arrive.

What a filthy, run-down mess! The only advantage is that you can bring your own drinks, but I wouldn't want to rent out my place if it were this rancid.

Personne pour nous accueillir, ca commençais bien ... Mais après avoir trouvé un serveur nous avons été bien surpris. Malgré la langue nous arrivons a commender. Et encore une bonne surprise quand nos plats arrive. Cuissons parfaite, assiette généreuse et bon goût son au rendez-vous ! Et l'addition est plus que resonable. (Malgré le pain a 4,75 €). A recommandé malgré la note générale !

Great place for a cup of tea. The food is not recommended. We could still taste the burnt egg on rock-hard toast two hours later.

It is very peculiar that all hospitality venues here are simply closed the entire weekend and evenings. Apparently, in Zaandam, people are just supposed to be sick properly during office hours.

Trying to be fancy, but why? Make ordinary food, Pasta, Lasagna, Nachos etc and skip the funky dishes you dont master anyway

I came here specifically because we avoided ordering here whilst on holiday because of the reviews - we ordered pizza on the last night and it was great value and delicious. Wish we'd have tried them earlier now!

First time eating Indonesian food in Amsterdam. The atmosphere is nice, amazing staff. Our server, June, was very helpful and made our experience special. Come hungry, the food is meant to be enjoyed 🙏🏻💕

Don't go eat here, what a mess. The man is sitting here drinking and smoking while he prepares your food.
