Superleuk avondje weg met vrienden gehad. We dachten even lekker af te sluiten met McDonald’s… Op de website stond dat ze om 0:30 zouden sluiten. We kwamen om 23:30 aan… bleek het al gesloten te zijn.
Bad experience. The restaurant was very dirty and cold. I ordered a combo menu with a burger and tenders. The tenders were limp/lukewarm, and the burger looked a lot like the picture but was nothing more than a small, plain bun with lukewarm chicken and a dollop of red sauce. Once I got there, I discovered they'd forgotten the fries. The fries sauce was sold out (how?), so I got a different sauce instead. You pay 18 euros for that... as if it were nothing... yuck.
Paying 1€ just to wash your hands at the establishment where most of the food on the menu is meant to be eaten with hands is the peak anti-utopian experience
Just picked up various takeaway menus here.
The hamburgers were already in the bags while the fries still needed to be fried.
They also mentioned that they were getting cold now.
There were black specks in the drinks.
See photo.
It was too far to drive back, so we threw it away.
Upon entering, the entire restaurant was filled with smoke. We already had a bad impression, but we gave it a try.
We were then given all the available seats, including high chairs next to the stairs near the entrance. We asked for a different seat, which, strangely enough, wasn't possible, despite having made a reservation.
When we were told we couldn't get another seat, we weren't even asked if we wanted a drink, and the waitress had already left.
The staff was very impersonal and downright rude.
Not recommended; look for another Happy Italy or something similar.
With a fast-food joint, it's hard to go wrong—just throw pre-cooked chicken into a deep fryer and make sure the place is reasonably tidy. It's nice to see that there are still places where the tables are littered with trash, the fries still taste like raw potato, and your order becomes more of a mystery box, so your boneless bucket suddenly contains some hot wings. In a way, that adds to the excitement. After all, you never know what you're going to get; that's also a form of service. The extra star is entirely due to the milkshake, which was filled to the brim. Possibly a form of compensatory behavior for the wait, because "fast" is more of an aspiration than a description here.
Beautiful location on the boulevard. The service was super friendly and attentive, but the mussels were really not good, much too small and not tender. Such a shame!
