You'll probably have a queue so look at the menu online before approaching the counter for your order. They are cooked perfectly every time and the sauces are amazing. I enjoy the truffle, and the spicy sauce. There are many to choose from. Also enjoyed the croquettes but really came for the frites.
Delicious! They are very soft too (I must admit, they look "hard" when you cut into it, even when cold, it is actually very soft). It's the perfect amount of sweetness for me (so it doesn't look like you get huge amounts of frosting, it is the perfect amount as the dough/filling is also sweet - so if they added more frosting, would be too sweet for me). No place to sit down, so i took it home and also heated it up in the microwave for 30 seconds - amazing.
Been again and amazing staff - still great.
Feeling so close to home while far from home 😹~
My Asian stomach says: So delicious 🥹! I recommend everyone try it if you have the chance~ If you're tired of burgers 🍔 and fries 🍟 🤣
(I didn't make a reservation, I just waited outside the shop until 5 pm to ask... 🥹)
Thank you to the owners for saving us ordinary folks 🫠

It's a bit of a chain - I think there's 3 of them now. I like the two leathery couches. I like the location and the regulars, who arrive with their pets, their toddlers, their laptops - it's quite entertaining. Coffee and food quality is average and expensive. Some suggestions - could you please up your croissant game a tad? (1) They are often non-existent, and (2) They are a bit deflated (or was that a fluke, a couple days ago?). How about some more vegan-y, protein-y options too? ** EDIT: You have got to get your damn front door under control. It's slamming shut every single time someone opens it. Dear Baristas - do you not notice that? Today it went on forever - I had to leave the cafe. People's nerves are bing frayed every time this happens, every 30 seconds. Look around, people are twitching when this happens. Fix it, open it or put a rag by the frame so this isn't an ongoing thing all day long. **. EDIT #2: You removed the chickpea salad sandwich which was the only vegan option on the menu. And you replaced it with the ole' generic hummus sandwich (probably sourced from the Jumbo next door). Yawn. Cheap move. Pathetic. To save a few pennies I guess?
Great tapas restaurant. Patatas bravas and meatballs work great together. The staff is very friendly and can help with a choice.
The atmosphere is relaxing :)
The best ice cream in all Amsterdam, a huge range of exciting vegan choices (and not just sorbet) try the chocolate orange, chocolate cherry and pistachio! Love that they have a spar card too! ❤️
By far the worst experience I’ve ever had in a bar.
I ordered beers for my wife and me and sat next to a Turkish couple, we sat in the bar in front of the bartender, so he saw me and I paid to him!!!!
When my wife arrived, I went to the bathroom. About 10 seconds after I started peeing — with my pants already unbuttoned — someone suddenly burst violently into the bathroom and PULLED ME OUT BY THE EAR
It turned out to be THE BARTENDER, who was way bigger than me, He wrongly assumed I had sneaked in from outside, even though I was already a paying customer sitting inside the bar. Because of how violently he grabbed me, I ended up peeing on myself.
I explained the situation, and the Turkish couple confirmed I had been sitting next to them. Only then did he realize his mistake, apologized, and refunded me. While returning the money was the right thing to do, it does not change the fact that I WAS PHYSICALLY ASSAULTED WITHOUT ANY JUSTIFICATION.
I cannot understand how a bar can employ someone who behaves like this. A simple “Excuse me, the bathroom is only for customers” would have been enough. Instead, I was treated aggressively and humiliated for no reason.
A completely unacceptable and disturbing experience. I’m posting this so others are aware and hopefully don’t go through something similar.
