Good morning, I have tried many times to contact you and send complaints, as there is a problem related to the restaurant that I own now, which is gusto Italian Amsterdam, located Lange niezel 16D poste code 1012GT. This is the new name of the restaurant, but the old name, Argentango Steakhouse, is still there. I do not know who owns it, and I would like you to please remove Argentango Steakhouse from the map, as it is located at the same address. Thank you for your help, gusto Italian Amsterdam.
Lovely place, great homemade pasta that was very delicious. There was quick service and staff were welcoming and also translated the menu which was thoughtful. Would recommend coming here for a meal !
The service was terrible. Three of us arrived and nobody greeted us after waiting 10 minutes in front of the door. Then it took a while to get our order, and we had to ask repeatedly for some stuff that they forgot to bring. At the end, we wanted to order dessert, but they told us the kitchen was closed, even though we were sitting upstairs and nobody had come to check on us after finishing or main course, so we had to no clue about their closing times. Overall, the prices that they charge for are too high and don’t justify this sloppy service offered.
The bread? Excellent.
The welcome? Not so much. I’ve come here often, but a staff member shouted and waved me away because I was holding my 4-month-old calm puppy, the size of a croissant, in my arms. Hardly a big bad wolf. Such a pity: wonderful bread, but an unexpectedly intolerant attitude.
I expected bakers to be from a warmer breed🥐
Tiger roll with Lidl tuna salad, picking at the pickles with my fingers (which I'm not a big fan of), and then I had to pay €4.00!! Normally I would say something about it, but I thought: never mind, pure scammers, don't buy sandwiches here, ridiculous prices!!
I don't know how to put it. But this was a one-time thing, never again. I'm really trying to find something positive, which is why I'm giving two stars anyway. And that's only because the service was nice and there was a nice song on the radio.
But the food: €23.50 for a bowl containing mainly rice (too salty and too spicy) and 1 type of vegetable. I saw her scoop something up, but I couldn't find it when I got home. And then I was allowed 5 types of meat. Those were practically impossible to find either, even without a missing item notice. On top of that, it all tasted the same.
Maybe I'm spoiled by Balinese friends, but don't do this to yourself.
My bf and I never tried before Malaysian food and we really liked it a lot. There are so many dishes and all of it looked so tasty. We got the Curry Soup and the most famous dish and we really enjoyed it. Very tasty and a little spicy. The service was nice and they helped us a lot. For sure we will come back if we ever get the chance to be in Amsterdam.
