Well, what can I say? I think it's the best bread in the Netherlands. Ever since I was a kid, we've walked to the Albert Cuyp Market (1963) to get sandwiches. And now, in 2025, I make a special detour and go to Ruijsdaelstraat. Hats off to the best bakery, I'll be back soon!
The food is fine if you don't like spicy food. The roti and the pom are sweet. I'm used to it having more curry and a slightly spicier flavor. But tastes vary.
Beware of hidden fees that are nowhere to be found, but which appear on your bill. For example, in a previous review, a glass of tap water costs €1. For just one disposable container, you pay an extra €0.50. Does this legal arrangement seem to be becoming a profit model? (With other takeaway services, the same container isn't on the bill.) Minus 1 🌟
Good morning, I have tried many times to contact you and send complaints, as there is a problem related to the restaurant that I own now, which is gusto Italian Amsterdam, located Lange niezel 16D poste code 1012GT. This is the new name of the restaurant, but the old name, Argentango Steakhouse, is still there. I do not know who owns it, and I would like you to please remove Argentango Steakhouse from the map, as it is located at the same address. Thank you for your help, gusto Italian Amsterdam.
I ordered 3 pastries.
Dry, not tasty.
Twice the combination dish.
Not tasty with bambi.
One time not spicy, one time spicy.
Spicy, not spicy, bami not tasty, much too thick.
I didn't taste any authentic Indonesian flavors.
First, it's getting more expensive and portions are getting smaller. Turkish pizza is dry, and they even forgot to put my sauce in it. I won't be back.
My first time at Gunay, I knew right away I'd never go back. Grilled chicken was as dry as cardboard. Chicken covered in a mountain of flour and tasteless. Not even salt. Man, oh man. Why is this place even still open? I sit down and wait for my order, sinking deep into those broken benches. Ugh.
Me: “How much is a chicken chicken wing?”
Him: “1 for €1.10 or 5 for €5.00”
Me: “Ok give me 6 please”
Him: “Ok it’s gonna be €6.60”
Me: “Why? 5 for €5 and then one for €1.10, should be €6.10”
Him: “No, because you are taking 6, so it’s €6.60”
How to lose customers while trying to scam them for €0.50 😂 NEVER AGAIN
Would never go back! Owner is extremely rude! The owner and one of the usuals was calling me and my friends names and told us to never come back to Amsterdam again (we live here). We did nothing wrong, all sober and came in for a beer after work. Yet, owner was very uncomfortable and was calling us names and cheated one of my friends who paid too much for a beer. These people are very selfish and should not be running a bar!
DO NOT EAT HERE! My experience on the 4th of June by 12:30 pm turned out so bad that I had to call to police!
Not only are their tables so dirty and unhealthy as I had to wipe the table myself before eating my order, the food was also very tasteless. I normally wouldn't write a review about that but the unacceptable part is the fact that these people also refused to give a receipt of my order.
Normally the payment machine prints out receipt after payment but their payment machine is set up on purposed not to print out receipts. To confirm that, they bluntly told me they don't offer receipts and then they got violent and threatened to throw me out because I insisted of receiving my receipt of payment.
I travel for a corporate company and it is normal that all my travel expense must be proved with receipts to avoid getting into corporate accounting problems but these rude people at Ipo's Coffee Gallery Place bluntly maintained that they don't offer receipt and got more violent, the more I insisted.
IT IS A LEGAL REQUIREMENT TO OFFER RECEIPTS OF SALES TO YOUR CUSTOMERS IF YOU ARE A REGISTERED BUSINESS if they need it so why should they refuse? It's needed for my official accounting. Well, It escalated into one of them screaming at me until I had to call the police so I could avoid being physically involved with them.
I dropped the case because I had to catch my flight. Long story short, I WOULD NOT RECOMMEND EATING HERE TO ANYONE!. I could ignored the fact that the place is dirty and the food isn't worth the price and for the fact that they act like rude gangsters makes it had to ignore.
We ordered two drinks, and the lull one was so watered down that it tasted more like water with a hint of juice. We sent it back and ordered another. To our dismay, they insisted on charging us for both drinks. I complained that I wasn't going to pay for something I sent back, so he brought it back to the table! It was terrible service, and it left us feeling ripped off. The food was ok but very pricey. The Peruvian ceviche has a good taste and was acceptable. The Ecuadorian was not near the real thing. It had no taste and was not close to what an Ecuadorian ceviche looks like. Overall the whole experience was not ok, and we won't visit this place again.
