This is not a restaurant it’s an Asian grocery store take away place that makes Vietnamese takeaway food. Probably because it’s trendy, popular. The salad rolls are pretty ok. But we had a salad and sandwich also and it was not good. Tastes like the salad was made yesterday and the baguette of the sandwich was not fresh. Threw both away. Stick to the salad rolls. As the lady handed it to me she coughed in her hand. Oh dear. But it is cheap so I guess you get what you pay for
We went here because there wasn’t much around the area and it was near where we were staying. Upon arrival we were told it was buffet that night and we couldn’t order a la carte. We probably should have checked the buffet before agreeing but we were hungry and tired and there wasn’t much else nearby.
The buffet was expensive, €25 a person. For what we paid it was pathetic. Here were the options:
- buns with butter
- small, relatively basic salad bar with a pasta salad, what looked like Greek salad, maybe egg salad, a few other things I couldn’t tell what they were, maybe salmon salad?, and then greens/veg with some dressing options
- a vegetable soup of some kind
- fried potato/tater tot things with no ketchup or mayo to be seen
- steamed/boiled carrots and peas, tasted like what happens when you steam/boil a bag of frozen veggies and do nothing else with them
- steamed broccoli, also without seasoning
- plain white rice
- some sort of fish steamed or baked in a whitish/yellow sauce (I don’t eat fish so I didn’t try it)
- meatballs
We were told everything would have labels to tell us what it was. That was not the case.
The meatball tray had like 3 meatballs left on it when we got there. My husband took them. There were not too many people in the restaurant. The tray was not replenished for at least 15 minutes after it was emptied. It must have been low for at least a little while before we got there. Considering how few options they had it was rather surprising they weren’t more on top of replenishing the meatballs. Particularly since they were the only non-seafood protein option. There were several people asking for them and waiting for them to come out by the time they were brought out. I have no doubt the tray was empty again within a few minutes.
The dessert options were fine. There was some fruit salad, yogurt, a cake and some whipped cream-thing. But I didn’t exactly feel satisfied when we left.
The cocktails were good but expensive. €14.50 for a mojito.
I wouldn’t go back to eat a la carte because I don’t have high hopes for the food based on what we got at the buffet.
No respect for customers at all. You stand there at the counter and the woman standing in the kitchen pretends you don't exist while the other worker is just eating in the kitchen where my food is made, which is probably not possible and not at all in front of customers. The lady also throws a lot of pepper into your arepa even though you didn't ask for it at all, so the arepa could immediately go into the trash 😒 You just pay €22 for 2 half-cooked, poorly made 'arepa' and 2 small quesillos, first time there and never again. Really a waste of money, sorry man
Food is just like their service....
BAD THROUGH!
This place is one big scam!! WOW!!! I NEVER GOT SO BAD FOOD!!! Waited 2 hours for our food! You order chicken but you get burnt beef!!! (4 mini pieces of burnt beef) DO NOT ORDER HERE!!! Most likely the positive reviewers will get money because this is completely wrong!! The number on home delivery is from a pizzeria that will then call the wok!! What a RUBBLE!
I've read a lot of negative reviews, but we (2) thought it was very good. We had roti and rice rames (mixed meat).
The place looks very neat. Service and preparation are hygienic with gloves. The roti tasted delicious; well-cooked chicken that wasn't dry, good long beans, the gravy a bit thin but very tasty and not overly seasoned. The rames: excellent rice, a wonderful variety of meats, nicely sour, and crunchy beans. Everything super fresh and very flavorful. The satay was also good. Large portion, no overpowering aftertaste. In short, we thought it was fantastic.
Tip: fill the refrigerated display case; it looks a bit strange when it's empty.
We will definitely go again.
Best croissants I’ve ever had. We went twice while we were here. There’s a Vietnamese barista there who’s super cute. On the off chance she’s reading this my Instagram is mylesharrison.jpeg if you want to talk more
I used to buy snacks a few times per week for me and my partner, even though the service was not great. Last time I asked to warm it up and it seemed to upset the guy. I was told "you should have told me before I packed it up". Never buying anything there again. Real pity.
