Exceptional location, excellent beers, decent food

Thursday 20/08/2026. Entry to Banana Club was 30 euros (including two 'free' drinks). 8 ladies performing - I would describe them as attractive. Table lap dances for 1 song were 45 euros. Private lap dances for 3 songs were 100 euros. Atmosphere fairly early in the evening not long after opening was quite relaxed which I liked. Although the ladies constantly asked for tips which I did not like (presumably given the touristy nature of the area they are likely used to lots of American tourists I guess). It also seems strange to me that the cost of private lap dance was the same as the cost of a 'full service' offered by the ladies in the windows outside in the Red Light District. I did not go into the proper BananaBar so cannot comment on the prices for the Banana related shows in there. All in all, I enjoyed my evening in the Banana Club and will likely return next time I am in Amsterdam.

Surprisingly great. I had always assumed (due to the location) this would be just another over priced tourist trap, however from the first visit I was thankfully proven wrong. I first went with a “social deal” 3 course set price (didn’t include the entire menu, but with enough options for a great deal). I have returned several times now (with and without a “social deal”) as the service and quality of food for the price is top notch. The staff are very attentive, helpful and friendly. The food is of great quality- I’ve tried several starters and mains by now and been very pleased each time. Lovely heated terrace looking directly onto Rembrandtplein and back far enough from trams etc to still be nice and peaceful with plenty of people watching across the square. Inside the restaurant is modern and spacious, and the restroom facilities downstairs are spacious, modern and spotlessly clean.

Incredibly expensive. Just a tourist trap. Dont go here.

Dear Sushi Lover, I understand that sushi isn't the cheapest option, but my jaw really drops that this can simply cost €51 in total. I ordered this via Uber Eats, and this really is a new record. Sushi only—you probably won't agree. But I am truly perplexed. Otherwise, it was fine to eat, mind you. But when I ordered this, I expected something different for this amount. Shocking.

Had a delicious shawarma pizza, it was well seasoned. Definitely recommended. It's also great that they're open late.
