I would like to take a moment to express my appreciation for an outstanding establishment where I have purchased food on several occasions. I believe that when someone prepares food for us, proper thanks are in order. Although I am generally not a proponent of eetcafés, I am making an exception in this instance to highly recommend this place to everyone.
The staff employed here are exceptionally pleasant and welcoming. My personal recommendation is the cheeseburger served with French fries. They offer very reasonable prices and maintain high standards in everything they do. Should you find yourself in the area, I strongly encourage you to try their cheeseburger.
May God bless you.
The food is tasty, it's just a shame that as a single person you can't order from Smulshop anymore because of the ridiculously high minimum delivery fee of 25 euros per place... ordering is ridiculous these days.. I'm better off making it myself, all restaurants to the goddamn🤣
The fries are fine, nothing wrong with them. The quantity differs enormously compared to the east of the Netherlands. In Enschede, we don't have small, normal, and large. A portion of fries is a portion of fries. If you want mayo and curry, you get half the normal amount of both, otherwise it won't fit in the small container. The same goes for a "patatje oorlog" (war fries): mayo, peanut sauce, and a few onions all go into the same separate container. This is a cash cow!
No, you are better off eating fries in the east of Gelderland or Twente.
The coffee machine is supposedly broken; there's only tea. The toilet is also supposedly out of order. And this is at a truck stop on a major highway. No, thank you.
The young guy at the counter speaks softly, acts slow, and makes absolutely no effort, even though I am willing to spend more money (a larger portion). The owner, however, is very nice, sturdy, and knowledgeable.
Food is heated in the microwave; I just hope it is fresh. And with catering, it is even cold. The taste is very good, though. The price is also good for the quantity. Many dishes are often sold out.
I got chicken roti here 4 times. 14.50 pp. The portion was ridiculously small. A lot of sauce, or rather soup, with three pieces of potato, a tiny bit of vegetables, two pieces of chicken, and an egg. It was so much liquid that you couldn't do anything with it. The taste was disappointing too. I had never been here before and will never come back.
