It was 10 times nothing, I will never come there again

On Easter Monday, we had brunch at Papendal with 8 people (4 adults and 4 children) during the Paashunt. The food was delicious, there was an incredible amount of choice, and it looked beautiful. At the price of €35.50, including participation in the Paashunt, it was also very affordable.

Came there on 22-Dec-2025 in the morning with the whole family after ferry crossing, the restaurant was not accepting any payments by card with no cash machine available nearby, hence we were unable to eat. Disappointing.

To be honest, I'm not getting as much ice cream these days. It's not particularly good. The price is cheaper than the other ice cream parlor, and this weekend the scoops were quite large, but the taste wasn't anything special.

Unfortunately, I had a bad experience with this company. I was treated rudely by Tamara, the owner. The order was delayed, and despite clearly stating that the cake had to be ready by a certain date, it wasn't ready until four days later. No refund, and no other compensation. Unacceptable.

We had sandwiches and burgers and were very satisfied with everything, so we went back again the next day. It's perfectly satisfactory for a restaurant in a spa.

Delicious sushi at Mr. Sushi Groningen! Ordered yesterday and what a delight! The sushi was super fresh and incredibly flavorful. Every bite was pure delight, with beautiful combinations and fresh ingredients. Delivery was fast and everything arrived perfectly presented. Highly recommended for anyone who loves good sushi. We will definitely order from them again!

The gözleme are not filled. I ordered 4 gözleme with feta cheese, but there wasn't even a gram of feta cheese in them. I only received dough.

Nice company with nice colleagues and good quality bread

The restaurant is dated and could use a fresh coat of paint. But the food and service are simply excellent! The tomato soup and chicken China Garden are particularly delicious.

What a disappointment! The chicken spring roll turned out to be a ham spring roll, the fries were in a sealed bag and were completely soggy. The two spring rolls were very bad (overcooked). And the fried plantain was floating in grease and tasted like it too! This is so unlike what we experienced last year! It's a shame that this Chinese restaurant is also going downhill.
