De beste restaurants in Amsterdam

I chose this place because of its lovely atmosphere and beautiful view. I ordered an American breakfast and a hot chocolate with whipped cream, and everything was delicious. Mario, who served me, was very kind and attentive. Definitely a great place to eat in Amsterdam!

Mewsim Restaurant is a fantastic find for anyone looking for authentic and high-quality Asian cuisine. The restaurant has a sign saying "Syrian shawarma," but I don't recommend it. It's a lie. Shawarma doesn't insult Syrian shawarma. I'm giving you half a star because you're deceiving people with false claims.

Well placed near main museums this is a good indonesian restaurant inespensive but clean and well managed worth a visit

We stumbled upon this restaurant by chance while walking around Amsterdam. The prices are very reasonable. The staff are friendly and polite. The pizzas are good. I didn't quite like the meatballs.

Their breakfasts and coffees were delicious. The service was a little slow. The girls working there were very sweet. (June 2026)

Worst food ever: the chicken in the satay was still raw, the noodles were bad, and the spring rolls were limp, cold, and greasy. I threw away my portion; unfortunately, my daughter had already eaten some of it. Hopefully, she doesn't get food poisoning (in which case, I will of course report it to the NVWA). Stay away from here!

When I wanted to place my order, the employee didn't understand. He didn't know the options for the crusts and didn't know how to ring it up at the cash register. Of the 2 pizzas I ordered, 1 turned out well. The other was made again. When that pizza was finally ready 20 minutes later, it turned out not to be the right pizza yet, and way too much sauce was thrown on top. As a result, the pizza was inedible. Eventually, I got my money back for this pizza.

It says it opens at 13:30. I have never experienced that being true. Why have opening hours if you don't stick to them anyway?

I was really in the mood for Surinamese food and basically ordered blind. If I had looked at the reviews earlier, I probably wouldn't have done it. Unfortunately, I didn't like the food at all. It was edible, but that was about it. As far as I know, nasi is supposed to come with rice, but I really don't know exactly what I got. The roti roll was okay, but the bakabana was very soft. Sorry, but this won't be a second time for me.

I waited about 20 minutes before it was my turn to order. Then it was my turn, and I was sent away. I thought that was a shame because I was quite hungry.

The delivery guy (boy) was extremely rude and I could hear him curse in Dutch the moment he stepped foot into our garden. Moreover, the food was cold, greasy, and it took significantly longer than the 25 minutes displayed on the app. Never ordering here again! It’s a waste of money and there are several friendier and tastier alternatives on IJburg.

I have enjoyed coming here to get fresh bread for over ten years, especially the dark brown round loaf (s3ir). Unfortunately, I have noticed that the quality has deteriorated significantly over the past year. Yesterday, I visited Afrah Fes’s bakery on Javastraat again. It seems as though the recipe has changed, because there is far too much salt in the bread these days. Additionally, I found a large piece of wood in my bread, which of course absolutely should not happen. In my opinion, the quality of the bread has clearly declined. I find that very unfortunate, because I always enjoyed coming here. After having already noticed that the bread was far too salty, I gave it a few more chances. But after my experience yesterday, I’ve had enough. It is a pity, because I was a loyal customer for years.

Excellent service, very nice place, excellent food, price in line with the service.

Ice cream is good but too often they have the lights on and door locked with the sign outside so it seems closed even though it’s supposed to be open. That without a number to call to verify if they’re really closed is VERY ANNOYING.
