Outrageous!
When we paid, they demanded a completely arbitrary €90, which was obvious to the naked eye. When we asked for a bill, he suddenly went quiet and took five minutes to recalculate, eventually arriving at only €77. Strange. We added up the prices of the four main courses and came to €56.50. Upon further inquiry, it seemed the remaining €20 came from four small cups of tea and a bowl of spinach, the prices of which weren't listed on the menu. He seemed determined to get as close as possible to the initial €90 charge 🙄.
On top of that, it was incredibly cold; even in our thick winter jackets, we were freezing. The heater must be broken. If this €90 scam works even once a week, they should surely have enough money for a new one.
The food and tea were okay, but they didn't justify the high prices.
Snackbar 't Hoekje has really deteriorated over the years; the service is terrible!!!
Yesterday, November 28, 2025, I walked in.
Two employees were present. One near the cash register, the other at the front of the counter. He was stocking fries, took them out of the box, and threw them across the counter onto the floor. He repeated this eight times. Then he walked over to the bags he had just thrown on the floor and gave them another kick before putting them away at the bottom of the refrigerated counter.
Completely bewildered, I recorded what I had just seen. To verify it, I asked if what I had observed was correct.
Of course, I agreed and asked if that was normal practice. The gentleman thought it was perfectly normal.
I was quite angry about this.
The moral of my story is to explain how this guy handles food in front of customers. Just give a damn and do your thing.
(It's about that big, rude guy who speaks broken Dutch.)
I'm never going back there!
I ordered delivery for the first time due to illness. I'll never do that again. I understand it's busy, but waiting two hours for your food is unacceptable to me. It's a shame, but I don't need it anymore.
The food is standard fare; it's just reheating and serving, right? Only the prices seem to vary. Prices are duplicated on the sign because different amounts are written on top of each other in marker, and this leads to constant discussion. It's a shame.
I was greeted in a friendly manner and my order was ready within 10 minutes. The sushi was delicious. However, the price list turned out to be out of date; it would be nice if that could be fixed.
I ordered a pizza through home delivery, but when I looked at it, there was a dirty, long red hair in the pizza itself, not on top but inside it, so I called Salvatore Pizza and they told me in a very rude way that it wasn't their problem and that it had to be arranged through home delivery, and then just hung up on me. I never ordered from here because you never know how your pizza will arrive and they are not customer friendly either.
Very bad, I don't live that far from the store, but my food still comes cold. I got Korean chicken pizza, but there wasn't even any chicken on it. Not recommended.
