It's a fact that at Bram Ladage, you'll find the tastiest fries in the Netherlands. Both in The Hague and Rotterdam and the surrounding area. Friendly, skilled, and motivated staff here fry up perfect fries and other delicacies that even the so-called "fries ateliers" could learn a thing or two from. Bram Ladage is a household name in Rotterdam and the surrounding area, and soon it will be in The Hague as well.
Simply wow, the kebab was great and at the end the owner gave me an extra kebab for free, that was very nice and friendly of him. I hope he deserves what he wants in this world.
I thought I had a good idea of Nepalese/Tibetan cuisine after visiting restaurants. Until now: welcome to Lakhay!
To start, we started with a samosa (€6.95). Familiar, but clearly very fresh and with a spicy mix of potato, onion, and lentils in spicy spices. Fried or not: absolutely not greasy. Along with it was 'Pork Chola' (€13.95), which turned out to be roasted pork belly. Crispy, not overly salty at times, and deliciously seasoned with spring onion, garlic, coriander, and soy sauce. Lime and fried rice were served on the side.
Two completely different main courses, shared together, complement each other perfectly: 'Chicken Dry Thukpa' (€16.95) and 'Local Bhale' (€19.95). The former is a noodle dish with minced Himalayan chicken, peas, sesame seeds, garlic, and a soy-like sauce. The Nepalese "Local Bhale," rather unconvincingly described as "with crispy potato," turns out to be chicken: grilled, tender with a delicious grilled flavor, and there's a fried version. Potatoes? Warm wedges in their skins and cold as a salad. Also served here: fried rice.
The menu is in English, as is the service, except for the owner. He speaks passionately, and more convincingly than the menu, which are (particularly) recommended. Conclusion? The Nepalese/Tibetan dish turns out to be even more versatile than I thought...
Yokohama Ramen Saito is one of my favorite ramen restaurants in the Netherlands. The Tonkotsu ramen is fantastic, and in my opinion, it's on par with the ramen I've had in Japan. The gyoza is also very good.
Paid parking has recently become available on the street, but there's still free parking just past the subway station.
If you're ready just before 5:00, you can go right in; after that, you'll probably have to wait about fifteen minutes.
What an experience, what a fantastic meal. My sweetheart eats mostly vegetarian/vegan, so the buffet was a dream. Creams/dips, salad, soup, and so on. Even for meat-eaters like me, there was delicious chicken and veal rolls. Moist cake and other delicious treats rounded out the buffet. The hosts were wonderful and the service was friendly. This couple is truly living their dream. We felt very comfortable. Thank you so much for this gem.
Echt een aanrader! Wij hadden een proeverij van verschillende soorten stoofpotjes. Ze waren allemaal even smaakvol. Prijs en kwaliteit verhouding zeer goed. We werden vriendelijk bediend.
Amazing range of great whiskey and a hugely knowledgeable host in Daniel. Really recommend to anyone who likes a whisky (or beer) as the atmosphere was fantastic and we had a great evening
Ordered an ice matcha latte with pea milk. It was good. First time trying pea milk, I would say it overpowers the matcha a bit too much. I would stick to coconut that I prefer. I tried the pistachio rose danish patry which was incredible. They have good pastries. But only benches outside and one inside. It’s a good to go spot.
The taste is 100% authentic Thai. I've never eaten Yen Ta Fo that was this delicious before. Topped with crispy pork, the bowl is very big. Just the toppings alone are enough to fill you up.
Once made a trial there as a Neapolitan pizzaiolo , obviously didn’t work out well :) but recently had the chance to eat their pizza again and just remembered how great it is. They’re passionate, skilled, and nice people. Their pizzas get that real wooden fire kiss on the Neapolitan farina, which you don’t see so often. Worth a try for anyone reading this.
And grazie millee enrico & whole Olido team 🫶
I came here from Switzerland on vacation and ate at this restaurant. For the first time, I regretted eating at a Turkish restaurant. What a smiling face! Good presentation. Don't send the cleaning staff to the table before the meal. The sink stinks.
Delicious food, good and fast service, very friendly, and affordable prices.
We sat outside, and it's quite noisy right next to Huissensestraat. The terrace next to the Albert Heijn looks very inviting. It was full inside, so reservations are definitely recommended.
The best indian restaurant that I have ever visited and eaten in. Really nice Staff service and very good quality of ingredients. I will definitely come back !
