Just ordered a spicy salmon pokebowl
Unfortunately, the pokebowl wasn't as tasty as I'm used to; very salty and had a strange taste this time.
Very disappointing because it's not worth the 18 euros.
The staff is incredibly arrogant. Such a shame. I once wasn't helped when it was my turn because I was wearing earplugs. "Customers who call won't be served here," a somewhat older woman yelled. Excuse me? I wasn't even on the phone. I also once asked for two separate containers because I'd ordered quite a lot and wanted them wrapped separately to avoid crushing. "No, we always do it this way!" Terrible customer service! Please fix it!
I ordered fries, jalapeño pops, and ice cream, but received potato slices and soft, nasty jalapeño pops; only the ice cream was good, so it is not recommended.
Now I remember why I didn’t order here anymore. It is really awful. The topping is loose, everything is dry. It’s like the pizza’s are made last week and warmed up (somewhat) in a microwave. Tough to chew. There’s no difference between a 4 cheese and a margarita. I cannot believe this is a good running business.
Better go with Pizzani, which is so much better!
The delivery guy was kind. He wished me a good meal. Which I did not have.
I just had a very customer-unfriendly phone conversation.
We had ordered a halal Mexicano, a croquette, and fries by phone. Unfortunately, the snacks were in the same bag, resulting in cross-contamination.
When I contacted them by phone about this, I was initially treated nicely by the counter employee. She said she would inquire about how we could resolve the issue.
Subsequently, I got someone else on the line who was unfriendly from the start and insisted it was my problem. It was also indicated that I had to specify when ordering that the items needed to be in separate bags, even though this is the first (and last) time I am ordering anything and I had not been informed of this.
Furthermore, we did not reach a solution. The employee was clearly not pleased about this.
If you want to order something halal here, pay close attention.

The food and drinks are fine. They are quite affordable. The staff is friendly and helpful. The room sounds hollow, causing the music to echo, which is unpleasant, and it seems/sounds very crowded when there are only a few people sitting there. However, more attention should be paid to keeping the seating, tables, and floors clean. Sometimes they are too dirty to sit in. Crumbs and drink residue are everywhere.
Today I got a chicken breast sandwich with teriyaki sauce at Jaffna. The chicken was bone dry and most likely reheated in the microwave, causing dry, hard edges to form. The teriyaki sauce also didn't taste like teriyaki sauce, but like a cheap ready-made sauce from the supermarket. Very disappointed and unfortunately wasted almost 11 euros.
Ordered from Soen Lie for the first time. The delivery person was on time, but we didn't like the taste of the food. The babi pangang had a different sauce than we are used to from other Chinese restaurants. I also found the rest of the monthly menu very mediocre, which is a shame because it was quite pricey.
We’ve been getting Chinese takeout here for 30 (!) years. Always okay.
Ordered today. A complete mess.
This afternoon at 5 pm, ordered well in advance for 7:30. Nothing arrived at the agreed time.
They have no tracking, I called, first they lied: it’s on its way. But no luck.
Called again. No idea where my food is. Eventually 40 minutes late. Food cold. Just put it in the microwave for a bit. At least it was okay.
Once is enough, never again.
The food and service were good the previous times. In January 2025, I placed an order of €50+. I didn't receive an order in the app, and I didn't get any notifications. Only a confirmation email. After waiting for over an hour and a half, I called the location. After a few minutes, someone who was clearly not inside (probably the courier) answered and said my order wasn't even ready yet and that it would take a while. I wanted to cancel my order, but I couldn't because I didn't have anything in my New York app; I had to call again. We had to leave that evening with a group of four without dinner. It's now been two months and several emails, and I still haven't received my refund. How hard can it be? Great service from a major company like New York Pizza!
