The food was delicious, but unfortunately, we received a bowl of nasi instead of the bami we ordered. We ended up with three bowls of nasi, a bit much. The atmosphere... It's a Chinese takeout place, what can I say? It looked great.
Cozy atmosphere (soft background music would be even better) and super friendly staff. We were helped by (I think) Niek; an extremely friendly young man! We will definitely come back.
I ordered Spires lamb chops with Spires' sauce, and I told him exactly what I wanted, like this picture. He said, "Yes, we make it like this." I took the order and went home. I was shocked to find it was just meat, mostly beef, with no Spires sauce. It tasted awful. He charged me around €20, and I wasted my money. I called him and told him his method was wrong. He told me this is Spires; he ripped me off. I don't recommend them. I went to this restaurant and it was a terrible experience.

If I order through Thuisbezorgd and clearly state in the order confirmation that I don't want salad, and they still put salad on it, I'll call. They calmly tell me the problem is Thuisbezorgd's, not theirs, and that it's my problem. It's a complete scandal. That's no way to treat customers.

We had been sitting for a long time, some of us continued. We stuck around for another appetizer. It was already around 7:30 PM, almost closing time, and the flexible owner joined us. The special refrigerator opened for some alcoholic surprises. A crazy evening. With some music he went all out. His karaoke repertoire could be heard far and wide. I'm sure I had issues in 2025 with something not being right. If you order directly through them and don't pay by credit card, they'll pick up your crushed food first to prove it was good before you get a replacement. That's why I gave them another chance and, aware of their poor service, paid through Thuisbezorgd with PayPal and credit card, which I highly recommend. First, the delivery took 90 minutes instead of the promised 30, and the Thuisbezorgd bot refused to process my complaint. In the end, my milkshakes weren't in the cups but in the bag, as you can see in the photo. Instead of arguing with them, I filed my complaint via PayPal, attaching the photos. Within an hour, I was proven right and received a 100% refund to my credit card. I highly recommend using PayPal with this company. If it's okay, you don't have to do anything. The only downside is that with PayPal you have to submit your complaint in English, but you'll have less hassle than if you had to call this scam yourself. Even an apology for the late delivery and the lack of a response to what this leaking bag (milkshake) feels like demonstrates that the quality is only in the name.
A real pain in the ass!
We ordered two hot chocolate milks with whipped cream, apple strudel, and a sausage roll. We first received lukewarm chocolate milk, then seven minutes later the apple strudel, and the sausage roll didn't arrive at all because they'd forgotten it. We told them how awful we found it, and then they responded with a weak excuse: "It's busy," which wasn't so bad. When we went to pay, he even had the nerve to ask if everything was to our liking! What arrogant service! And also, dirty old toilets that you have to climb up a slippery, steep, old staircase...
What delicious food, but the delivery took so long! Because we ordered food for at least six people, it took almost two hours to arrive. But afterward, it was truly delicious! Absolutely recommended.
