What terrible service! I've ordered a few times, but delivery always takes at least 30 to 45 minutes. The app isn't working, and there's no communication. So I call back, and then the order happens to be "out now," after which I easily wait another 30 minutes (max 10 minutes by bike). Unfortunately, the pizza is practically cold upon arrival.
Also, be careful if you pay cash. The young delivery driver has a habit of withholding money. Not very honest.
Such a shame! Because the pizza is generously topped and delicious.
Rijsttafel (rice table) cost around 99 euros for Boxing Day. Tough beef, tough babi pangang. All in all, a lot of money for very mediocre food. The woman on the phone was very friendly, but we won't be eating here again. It was pretty awful.
Dirty tables, food slow, not arriving at same time, items missing. Expensive. Burger meat not nice, on a weird bun. Shoarma patat, very little shoarma. And so on.
I really love the look of this place, and really want this restaurant to be nice. But currently, that’s not it.
Nice little shop and the food was good.
Friendly staff.
The tables inside are quite close together.
My personal complaint is that the plates and cutlery are already on the table.
The food is served on a board, and you have to eat it from the plate that's already there.
But as I said before, the food is simply good.
After having read quite some feedbacks here before me, I feel confused if I would like to visit De Schuur again.
Quite contradictory reviews, overall.
Our experience today was okay, not more.
I was caught by the ambiance and the location.
The stuff is slow, but it was okay - besides us, there were more guests, one big group of family/friends of roughly 15 people.
First impression of inside, by the way, was confusing - none is welcoming you, stuff was somewhere hidden.
It's not a big deal, though.
My meal (german name kind of pizza) was good and warm, and quick.
My partner' carpacchio was also quick but not that fresh:/
We would like to return after some month and hopefully to have a better experience.
I really expect to receive a reaction on my review from De Schuur, as I saw only 1 reaction on a 5 star review, so far....
I got an iced coffee that tasted like a vanilla milkshake.
And the pastries are very disappointing, very expensive.
Everything is very expensive, I don't recommend it.
Went for pizza for four people.
The crust was definitely one of the best I've had in a long time.
The toppings were decent, fresh, and flavorful, and not overly rich.
The oil on the rim was spot-on, perfectly measured.
We had a delicious and enjoyable meal!
The gentleman behind the counter had a friendly and welcoming demeanor.
The waitress (schoolgirl?) could use some extra basic tips on hospitality.
(Even though she only googled "How to approach/treat a guest correctly").
An extra drink would have been easy to sell if she had specifically asked for it at the right time.
Listening and communicating with your guests and having a thorough knowledge of her own menu would also have been helpful.
The restaurant is tidy, though a bit dated/damaged here and there.
Perhaps the owner should walk through the restaurant himself/sit down and remove, replace, move/rearrange, etc., some items.
The price is reasonable.
This was our last time at New York Pizza. The chicken wings were incredibly greasy. And the two pizzas we ordered—they're not always good, but we've never had them this bad... the grease was literally dripping out of the box! Ingredients were missing, like cheddar on the edge of one pizza, no peppers on the hot and spicy options, hardly any paprika... and on top of that, a very thick layer of tomato sauce on the edges, olives all over the place, and an excessive amount of pesto on the caprese... the pizzas were simply not tasty and, moreover, only half-sliced (which isn't the worst part, but it was still acceptable). It's a real shame it turned out this bad. Normally, we report any issues, but today it was so awful that we didn't even want to bother.
The pizzas were thrown away.
Yesterday, my daughter and I went to this restaurant for dinner. I ordered a burger menu, but unfortunately, our experience was very disappointing. We had to wait 25 minutes for someone to come to our table, even though there were only two occupied tables and about ten employees.
When I finally got my drink, the glass was cracked and spilled. The replacement glass I received was also dirty.
When the food finally arrived, I found hard bits in my burger—they turned out to be onion residue. I've had severe stomach pains and have been vomiting since 4 a.m.
I'm very dissatisfied with both the service and the quality of the food.
