We had a wonderful meal at The Lemon Tree in Deventer! My boyfriend and I received a warm welcome from the team, and Duncan and Shen thoroughly spoiled us. The dishes were beautiful, and together with the wine pairing, it made for a perfect evening! The stories that accompanied the dishes were a lovely addition and truly enhanced the experience.
We had previously dined at The Lemon Tree in Curaçao (which is highly recommended if you're there!), so we wanted to experience it here in the Netherlands. And it certainly didn't disappoint! Highly recommended for anyone looking for a high-end culinary experience in a relaxed atmosphere.
Narline in Zuidwolde is an absolute gem! Located in a beautiful old farmhouse full of charm and atmosphere, in an idyllic setting. The friendly staff makes you feel instantly welcome. The food is of a high gastronomic standard – refined flavors, beautifully presented, and lovingly prepared. I had a delicious chicken satay, although I found the satay sauce a bit disappointing…but that's probably just me, as I make it myself according to an authentic Indonesian recipe. A place where you don't just eat, you truly enjoy!
Our meal at MOS was an unforgettable culinary exploration. The preset menu was beautifully prepared, with each course offering something creative and delicious. They did an outstanding job accommodating our gluten allergy—not by simply leaving things off the plate, but by thoughtfully modifying dishes so we could fully enjoy the experience. The service was excellent—attentive without being overbearing—and the location provides a fun, different view of Amsterdam that adds to the charm.
We did have two small complaints. First, the dinner stretched to 4 hours, with some gaps of 30 minutes or more between courses that made the pacing feel a little awkward. Second, there was an issue with our umbrellas—staff retained them for us, but we missed retrieving them, and unfortunately, our follow-up email asking for help went unanswered.
Even with these minor drawbacks, the food, care in preparation, and ambiance made this a memorable night out. Worth a visit if you have the time (and patience) to savor a very slow, elegant meal.
We enjoyed the dishes here. The service was really good as well. The dishes had lots of great flavors and tasted homemade. They had a wide selection of Italian wines by the glass. We had a really good Gewürztraminer from northern Italian (Trentino-Alto Adige region). I highly recommend this Sicilian gem.
Wonderful evening! We sat inside, yet still outdoors. Because the terrace is adjacent, the tables inside are adjacent. A lovely round table. Great wines on the menu and delicious dishes. The Yuzu Kosho has definitely become our favorite.
Unfortunately, glory faded. Almost scared me to death when I saw a hamburger on the menu. Very unfortunate, we have been coming here for 5 years with great pleasure and always enjoy it. Since they adjusted the shared dining concept, it is certainly not the same anymore.
The food was absolutely exquisite—each dish beautifully presented and bursting with flavor. From the delicate amuse-bouche to the decadent dessert, every bite was a testament to the chef's artistry. The ambiance was refined yet welcoming, and the service was impeccable. A perfect spot for a special occasion or a luxurious night out. Highly recommended!
