La La Ijs moved inside coffee room! Great homemade ice cream. Lots of choices of toppings and special flavours you don’t often see. Super cozy and nice outdoor terrace to enjoy

Unfriendly staff and almost never whipped cream

About 10 years ago, I just walked in and ate a truly delicious ribeye. Then I came back a few days ago and the ribeye was gone! Such a shame… But then I decided to try the white fish and it was just as tasty! I thoroughly enjoyed the quality of the food here! If you are near Roeterseiland and are in the mood for a cozy atmosphere with delicious food, stop by!

The food itself might be okay, but I cannot recommend this place due to repeated incidents with a group of boys hanging around outside. I personally experienced harassment targeting my identity at the entrance, and friends of mine (women, queer, people of color) have reported similar experiences. Be careful; I wouldn't take the risk anymore.

Even though I don't live anywhere near Amsterdam, I happily keep making the trip to eat here. The Shrimp Toast is fantastic, the Chicken Schnitzel is delicious, but for me, the absolute star of the menu is the cheesecake. Truly one of the best I have ever eaten. The flavors are perfectly balanced, and you can taste that everything is prepared with care. Additionally, the staff is always incredibly friendly and hospitable, making you feel welcome immediately. I will gladly return; until next time!

The bad: Jug of beer (~23 euros) only has 6 ‘canãs’ so it’s better to just get the small ‘canãs’ which were (~3.25 euros). Only 1 type of beer. Did not have muscles or tequila when we went. Waiter was eating and chef was scrolling on phone. Service was slow. The good: Beer is still relatively affordable (to other restaurants). The food was actually good. Steak and bread with tomato was good. Service and menu variety is mid. Music was nice. Theres potential here.

Best Surinamese sandwiches and roti.

Good option for a capuccino. Indoor and outdoor sitting possibilities. Neat facilities and friendly service.

The worst thing about the place is that you order a drink and it tastes like Coca-Cola, and when you complain, they just say sorry and ignore you. It's best not to go.

After years, I gave it another chance because I didn't have time to cook and wanted to eat quickly. It was bad and tasteless once again. The roasted meat was deep-fried, dry, and tasteless! This has nothing to do with Chinese food and is a waste of money. A huge disappointment; unfortunately, I can't put it any other way. I will never come back here again. Next time I'll just go to Albert Heijn...
