Shawarma meat is terrible. You'd have to be really drunk to be satisfied with this. Change this place back to that disgusting nightclub that used to be there. That seems like a better plan than serving food.
A year ago I had a pizza and a kapsalon, the pizza was great! The kapsalon on the other hand 'had promised myself never to get it here again' today I gave it a try with a doner sandwich (€7) and fries (€5.50), it was wrapped in foil, when I opened it the meat or the foil smelled so bad that I couldn't eat it after one bite, the fries looked like a €1 bag from AH, full of grease and poor quality, unfortunately this was the last visit, I gave both food items to a homeless person and went to sleep on an empty stomach.
Cheap/Billig. Not a single aspect to mark as specially good. I you are a tourist, looking for economic food and tired of looking for a place to eat, I suppose you can give it a try. One of us asked for a pizza with pepperoni as one of the ingredients which, after a whiiiiile (we were the only customers at the time), was served without. Judging by the general attitude, I was mildly surprised when the waiter took it back without discussion. A few minutes later, the mistery was solved: the same pizza with a couple of slices of pepperoni on top was dispatched back to us. The just edible spaguetti carbonara didn't help improve the experience.
We had a disappointing experience with the service. We ordered a large fries and a Big pita, but received small portions. It's the worst service I've ever received. Despite informing them about the issue, they showed no concern. I wouldn't recommend it at all.
I’m waiting for the food more then 1 hour and then after all it’s a scam.
Don’t order from there.
And I’ll find a way to get my money back.
Either a good way or a different way.
It says you open at 11:00, but that's simply not true. I'm standing there and everything is still closed. After calling, I'm told it will be another 20 minutes. Don't put 11:00 as your opening time if you don't stick to it.
This is a hidden gem. We eat Indian food on a regular basis picking out the best Indian restaurants in the centre of Amsterdam. Now we found this one. Absolutely the best food ever. And a lovely staff!
This place and Dev the owner present those willing with an opportunity to experience something unique.
On entering I knew I was stepping into his world. He gently suggested I slow down, settle in and you will be taken care of.
We had a lovely conversation about his life philosophy and incredible knowledge of European bronze sculpture.
The food was fresh and the best value for money I experienced in Amsterdam. The iced black coffee was no kidding the best I have ever had in my life.
This is a last bastion of authenticity in the city. As Dev says: pay with salt get vinegar. Pay with sugar, get honey. Do not miss.
I've been coming here for over 10 years and unfortunately, the friendliness is increasingly lacking. I called today to place an order. There were four of us and everyone wanted naan, but the guy wouldn't even bother with it. Making naan is a lot of work, and he only wanted two at most. You can order naan with every dish, according to the website, but when you call, he won't even start. He also misunderstood me, and I got a snappy reply asking, "Why did you say that?" Well, I didn't say that at all. The phone call ended with me not taking my order of almost 80 euros after all. This is absolutely unacceptable!
