De beste restaurants in Amsterdam

DO NOT EAT HERE! My experience on the 4th of June by 12:30 pm turned out so bad that I had to call to police! Not only are their tables so dirty and unhealthy as I had to wipe the table myself before eating my order, the food was also very tasteless. I normally wouldn't write a review about that but the unacceptable part is the fact that these people also refused to give a receipt of my order. Normally the payment machine prints out receipt after payment but their payment machine is set up on purposed not to print out receipts. To confirm that, they bluntly told me they don't offer receipts and then they got violent and threatened to throw me out because I insisted of receiving my receipt of payment. I travel for a corporate company and it is normal that all my travel expense must be proved with receipts to avoid getting into corporate accounting problems but these rude people at Ipo's Coffee Gallery Place bluntly maintained that they don't offer receipt and got more violent, the more I insisted. IT IS A LEGAL REQUIREMENT TO OFFER RECEIPTS OF SALES TO YOUR CUSTOMERS IF YOU ARE A REGISTERED BUSINESS if they need it so why should they refuse? It's needed for my official accounting. Well, It escalated into one of them screaming at me until I had to call the police so I could avoid being physically involved with them. I dropped the case because I had to catch my flight. Long story short, I WOULD NOT RECOMMEND EATING HERE TO ANYONE!. I could ignored the fact that the place is dirty and the food isn't worth the price and for the fact that they act like rude gangsters makes it had to ignore.

Always good, definitely recommended if you love the good old Dutch-Chinese-Surinamese and are one.

Very authentic. Be prepared to wait a bit for the food, but very tasty. Good sake and everything is freshly prepared!

We ordered two drinks, and the lull one was so watered down that it tasted more like water with a hint of juice. We sent it back and ordered another. To our dismay, they insisted on charging us for both drinks. I complained that I wasn't going to pay for something I sent back, so he brought it back to the table! It was terrible service, and it left us feeling ripped off. The food was ok but very pricey. The Peruvian ceviche has a good taste and was acceptable. The Ecuadorian was not near the real thing. It had no taste and was not close to what an Ecuadorian ceviche looks like. Overall the whole experience was not ok, and we won't visit this place again.

A nice gentleman who is passionate about his work. Always friendly to everyone and even helps out children who are short on money.

One of the worst restaurant experiences we have had in years. The few pieces of sushi and sashimi we received over an hour and a half were tasty, but unfortunately, it took an incredibly long time for anything to arrive at the table at all. To our surprise, we were only asked if we wanted to order anything else two minutes before the kitchen closed, by which time about half of our first order had not yet been brought and had apparently been forgotten. The wait staff also did not come by in between to ask if we wanted anything to drink. We ended up going home hungry and had to prepare pizzas there. Very unfortunate, because the quality of the food we *did* receive was good. But due to the extremely slow and poor service, this was a very disappointing experience for us.

Really lovely and cute sandwich place! Personally, I loved the pasta :) The sandwiches are delicious, and the pasta is really good!

We were sitting in a cafe next door and accidentally sat down on their terrace to smoke a cigarette. Without warning, we were given a dressing-down by a bald security guard who thought he was incredibly cool. Aggression was very much on the surface, and I hope this man finds love in his life.

While visiting Amsterdam this became my wife and Is go to Spot for a small bite and a Bier. I recommend the IJWIT bier it was the smoothest beer I've tasted in all my travels. The food was delicious. Just order at the bar. If your American then use your Visa they don't accept AMEX. If your at the nearby hotels they are open late if your jetlagged. Prost!

I was their for breakfast last week. Coffe is watery with no taste. Had a cake which was dry and tasted old. I was surprised about the poor quality as this is a pricy place. Girls serving are very friendly and kind. At least that.

Amazing neighborhood experience. One of the best Pad Thais I ever had. Service was excellent and the owner is a really great guy.
