The food is simply inedible. I had a chunk of ginger in my soup. I also got a Hummus sandwich, and they spread it like it was golden butter. The table was incredibly dirty. Don't come here.
I visited Amsterdam last week and was staying at The Social Hub Amsterdam City. For convenience and convenience, I dined for the first time at the Ristorante Bar, where breakfast is served.
The menu features only a few courses, but the food, from pizza to pasta and main courses, is all, as they say, FEW BUT GOOD; in fact, I'd venture to substitute "good" for "excellent."
The atmosphere is youthful, with attentive, active, and friendly yet discreet dining room staff, as is the kitchen staff.
I enjoyed everything so much that I returned for an aperitif and dinner, eating well, spending a fair amount, in a jazz club atmosphere.
The dough is flat and hard making not so enjoyable to eat. They use just regular cheese instead of mozarella. Both pizzas were very dry (probably because of the tower of premade dough with sauce). One of them was way to salty. Won't be coming back. Overall disappointing
We drove 45 minutes to be told there was no room (we were told by phone that we could come by). The staff was difficult and told us the upstairs was fully booked, while in hindsight, half the sky bar was empty.
Pretty sad and ultimately off-putting experience.
Came here for a client's goodbye lunch for a team member that is leaving. Food was late (despite them staggering orders in off-peak lunch and an empty room), they seemed to be annoyed at my client for asking where the food was... The manager ended comping the drinks - but the mostly cold food and lack of empathy from employees makes it a place neither of us will return to.
PS. They did eventually blame the delay on someone ordering a well-done burger. My Eggs Benedict (Eggs Royale on their menu) was also cold, so I guess they don't time their food either.
No problems with the food; it's truly delicious. The only downside is that they're never reachable.
For example, I made a mistake while ordering and couldn't reach them to change it, so I ordered a pizza elsewhere. It's a shame, and I ended up paying extra because of it.
Their phone number is included in the confirmation email and is listed as a "call for help" option.
I left without ordering due to extremely rude treatment: the gentleman behind the counter felt the need (on purpose) to give others priority, even though it was clear I had been waiting a long time to order.
Don’t know why this is below 4 stars. It’s a lovely cafe with great staff, delicious food, and right next to the weekend market. This is one of my favorite spots to bring my friends.
