During a short stay in Sneek, we really wanted to "dine out." That's how we found Le Petit Bistro. With 14-16 seats, it's a small and intimate restaurant. It was an unforgettable evening. The hostess and chef are professional, attentive, and personal in their approach. You immediately feel at home. Our 5-course menu was exceptionally delicious and original. The wine pairing perfectly complemented the dishes. It was a kind gesture to suggest an alternative wine to go with the recommended wine. The wines were top-notch! The alcohol-free pairing that accompanied each course was a real surprise. We'd never experienced anything like it before. Highly recommended! In short: we thoroughly enjoyed ourselves and will definitely be back.
I was here with a larger group (11 people). It was very hot that day, and the acoustics in the corner where we were seated weren't ideal, with our own noise, the air conditioning and fans, and the course being held directly behind us.
However, it was an aesthetically pleasing space, and the staff were friendly and knowledgeable. I would definitely go again!
I feel like Ayumi is Amsterdam's best kept secret. You might think this is a neighborhood hang, but if you're looking for the best and most authentic sushi that is better priced than anywhere else in Amsterdam, this spot is worth any cycling trip. And to top if off, the folks running this shop are absolutely lovely. Always best to order by phone call, wait is usually around 30min at peak time (eh weekend evenings).
