Long hair in spareribs 🤮🤮
Ordered more often. Normally quite satisfied, but recently received spare ribs that had a long hair in the marinade. Then your appetite will be gone. Except that the ribs then contained a lot of fat and virtually no meat.
It's a shame that feedback is not responded to. Hence this review.
I come here regularly and I always thoroughly enjoy the bread they bake! The staff is always incredibly friendly. I do find it a real drawback that the employees accept cash and then take my bread or pastries without washing their hands. A sanitizer pump or gloves (which are changed after accepting money) at the cash register for the staff wouldn't be a bad idea!
The food and staff in the restaurant are not up to par with Van der Valk.
It wasn't busy when the hot food was being prepared, but there were 3-4 staff members, one of whom was a manager (who didn't really show any leadership initiative).
It was extremely busy at the cash register, with only one staff member, and the long line stretched all the way to the end of the self-service area, including the area where the hot food was being prepared (with the manager watching).
There was a second cash register, but they didn't use that one.
Customers at the back of the line decided not to wait/eat there and left the restaurant.
The price-quality ratio is disproportionate in this restaurant.
We only had a sandwich, because the drinks were far too expensive for what was offered.
A 1/2-liter PET bottle of cola was €4.10.
A small cup of coffee was over €3.00. An ice cream elsewhere in the park was even cheaper.
And they were Cornetto and Magnum sizes, for €2.75.
We've visited several zoos in the past, but this restaurant ranks low on the list of zoo restaurants.
Ordered here for the first time yesterday. Definitely worth it again. The food was delivered very quickly! The flavor was also delicious. It's great that there are vegetarian options.
The only point for improvement was that the roti plate was quite thick. Otherwise, everything was perfect.
Threw them in the bin for over €30.
I don't know what went wrong. This used to be a stall with excellent oliebollen (Dutch doughnuts). The staff is friendly, which is still the case, but the "oil" fat balls are awful. They don't have enough volume; you can easily flatten them, and they're soaked with oil. Such a shame!
