The pizzas are tasty, but the service at Domino’s Hoge Vucht is severely substandard.
Our order went wrong three times. Subsequently, a can of soda was offered as compensation. That is a fine gesture in itself, but of course, it doesn't solve the real problem. If a company makes a mistake, it should simply rectify that mistake as quickly as possible and ensure that the correct pizza is delivered to the customer.
Instead, we were asked to come by ourselves and take the wrong pizza back. That makes no sense. The customer did not make the mistake and therefore should not have to resolve it themselves.
Furthermore, I find it strange that a wrongly delivered pizza is requested back. We are polite people and did not touch the pizza, but as a customer, you do not want to have to wonder what happens to such a product afterwards.
Offering a can of soda is a nice gesture, but good service primarily means: taking responsibility, acting quickly, and correcting your mistake. Unfortunately, that did not happen here. Domino’s Hoge Vucht, shame on you for the way you handled an incorrect order. The pizzas are good, but the service is absolutely not up to par.
I'm not even ordering from here. I just called to ask a question, and the man was extremely rude in his tone and words. But that doesn't surprise me after reading similar reviews.
The food is delicious WHEN it's available. It's a shame to be a baker and have certain rolls repeatedly unavailable, even at other DUST branches. And then you're there at 8 or 9 a.m., and even later in the day (where I can somewhat understand why the rolls might be gone).
For me, McDonald’s in Enschede is more of a typical, quick-stop spot in the city center than a special restaurant experience. There are several branches in the city, and the experience can vary slightly depending on the location. Overall, though, it's the classic McDonald’s concept: fast, convenient, and familiar.
The food is exactly what you'd expect. Burgers like the Big Mac, McChicken, or Cheeseburger taste pretty much the same everywhere, which is also a big plus. You simply know what you're getting. The quick snacks and meals are especially convenient when you're on the go or not very hungry. The fries are also crispy, as usual, at least when they're freshly prepared.
The branches in Enschede are mostly modernly furnished, with digital ordering kiosks and a rather functional seating area. This makes ordering quick and easy, but the atmosphere is rather loud and busy. It can get quite crowded, especially during peak hours, with students, families, and tourists.
My experiences with the service have been mixed. Often everything goes quickly and smoothly, but sometimes it takes a little longer or orders are incomplete. This seems to happen more frequently when it's busy. Nevertheless, the staff is usually friendly and tries hard to get everything done quickly.
A major advantage is the central location of most McDonald's restaurants in Enschede. They are easily accessible and perfect for a quick snack while strolling through the city or after shopping. This is precisely how McDonald's is most often used here.
Overall, McDonald's in Enschede isn't a place for a special culinary experience, but rather a convenient, quick, and familiar fast-food option. If you know what to expect, it's a reliable choice for when you're on the go.
The meat was very disgusting as if it was from last week and they put cheese on the vegetables and put them in the oven which was also disgusting. The kapsalon was really super disgusting. I regret getting it. It was the most disgusting kapsalon I have ever eaten. The chicken döner looked like it had been made a month ago. Besides, they were quick with making it, but I will never go there again.
Four quintessential Dutch men have been fighting against hunger here day in, day out since 2008. The four of them run this cafeteria with about 30 seats, assisted by three delivery drivers who probably know every street corner in the neighborhood personally. Don't expect any frills, but everything you could hope for in a snack bar – plus a few extras you might not have anticipated.
Besides the classic snack bar favorites, you'll also find Ras fries, pizzas, shawarma, lunch dishes, kapsalons in all shapes and sizes, schnitzels so big they want to escape over the edge of your plate, spare ribs that make your hands instantly sticky, and buckets you shouldn't order alone (but naturally do anyway).
The service is faster than you can say "patatje oorlog" (French fries with war sauce), the hygiene is impeccable, and the staff is friendly, even when you ask for the third time what's in that one sauce. For the menu and prices, it's best to take a look at the photos; it'll save you a lot of doubt and stress.
To be fair, the prices are a bit high. But you'll be left with a full stomach, a smile, and probably the feeling that you'll be back soon.
