Really friendly owner, I don’t speak very good Dutch but we made do. Food was prepared quickly and the pizza was delicious at a very affordable price. Will come again. I highly recommend for anyone in the area.
They asked for cash payment, but that wasn't possible, so they had to pick up a card machine. Then there were the pizzas; the cheese and salami practically slid off the pizza and weren't very tasty. Why they only accepted cash is a mystery. The atmosphere was dull, and I wouldn't recommend it to anyone in Zuidhorn or the surrounding area.
We chose our Christmas menu.... It took over an hour for our appetizers to arrive, partly because only two people were serving the dishes; all the other (many) staff and managers weren't there to serve over 100 people. Shocking! We also went home hungry... the quality was okay, but no decent side dishes (some filling bread or fries would have been welcome and smart).
Also, a DJ came along unannounced and left the music choice up to the guests. The result was a rather loud mix of inappropriate music.
It's a shame we won't be back.
I really regretted choosing this restaurant for an evening meal with my family.
The food was bland and very little for the price, despite a 50% discount. It wasn't worth it.
Ordered today for delivery, order completed on 5:05 PM. Now, 6:51 PM, still haven't received anything, but I did pay. No one is reachable by phone. I want my money back.
What a ridiculous price I paid. I ordered wonton noodle soup, but didn't get any sambal or anything for €51. There was also very little soup for that price. Never again! Yuck! So stingy.
This place and Dev the owner present those willing with an opportunity to experience something unique.
On entering I knew I was stepping into his world. He gently suggested I slow down, settle in and you will be taken care of.
We had a lovely conversation about his life philosophy and incredible knowledge of European bronze sculpture.
The food was fresh and the best value for money I experienced in Amsterdam. The iced black coffee was no kidding the best I have ever had in my life.
This is a last bastion of authenticity in the city. As Dev says: pay with salt get vinegar. Pay with sugar, get honey. Do not miss.
I've been coming here for over 10 years and unfortunately, the friendliness is increasingly lacking. I called today to place an order. There were four of us and everyone wanted naan, but the guy wouldn't even bother with it. Making naan is a lot of work, and he only wanted two at most. You can order naan with every dish, according to the website, but when you call, he won't even start. He also misunderstood me, and I got a snappy reply asking, "Why did you say that?" Well, I didn't say that at all. The phone call ended with me not taking my order of almost 80 euros after all. This is absolutely unacceptable!
Bad service, ordered food at 6 p.m., and now at 7:25 p.m., still no food. Someone on the phone can't even tell me what time I'll get my food. Truly appallingly bad service, never again. Apparently, I'm not the only one who's experienced this. Plus, I had to give a star rating, otherwise they wouldn't have gotten anything.
I love the smoked sausage sandwich here. When my credit card was having trouble because I'd recently traveled through so many countries, the staff were very kind and helpful.
