We had the menu for two and were absolutely thrilled! It was absolutely delicious, and you could taste the freshness of the ingredients and the high level of expertise in the kitchen. Everything, from the appetizer to the dessert, was absolutely delicious! I highly recommend it!
A small, fine chip shop with all the delicacies you would expect in this country. Fine fries, delicious frikandel, juicy kibbeling and a wide variety of sauces are convincing. Friendly, quick service. Card payment possible, approx. ten seats inside.
This ice cream parlor is out of this world!
I'm asked: "Would you like one or two scoops?"
Well, I think: I'll just—like usual—have two scoops. You get a real ice cream (I'm leaving out the "-je" where), which makes it a real struggle to eat it. I have to say, though: the delicious flavor makes this struggle more manageable.
Clevers' ice cream is delicious in all branches, in Grubbenvorst the location is cozy, on a kind of square with benches and a gazebo, where you can enjoy your ice cream.
Staff is very accommodating and helpful. I ordered karaage and black tonkotsu ramen. The staff offered to adjust the level of saltiness of the ramen if I wanted, but I thought it was fine. The broth was good, but I wouldn't have minded if the black garlic had been a bit stronger.
The restaurant is nicely decorated, modern, industrial and Asian mix.
We ordered:
Hummus Kebab Plate &
Short-rib Pita with pink grapefruit juice.
The rice is really delicious and I like the combination of them. My FAVOURITE is the eggplant 🍆 , it is so delicious. Kebab was a bit dry (maybe just different from what I tasted in the shop in HK and the UK).
Grapefruit juice is great! The short-rib is okay but overall having so many ingredients with €14.5 this is very good price to fill your empty stomach.
Service: 4/5 as we asked to check our bill but the waitress didn’t actually help so we wait for another 10 mins just to find another staff.
We entered the restaurant at 1730 after visiting the Van Gogh Museum and didn’t make a reservation but glad that there is a bar table.
As expected, there is always a wait at this ice cream parlor. When we finally got to our table, an employee immediately spoke to us in German. The employee was very unfriendly and rude and treated us as if we hadn't come. The ice cream costs €2.20 per scoop, but it's a bit cheaper if you order two. The cone was very small and we had to eat it very quickly because it threatened to melt quickly with the small cone. In our opinion, the ice cream didn't taste any better than at a nearby ice cream parlor. Here we were also greeted and welcomed a little more politely.
had a meal at this place and the meat was delicious. Everything looked clean and the staff was very friendly. They don’t serve any sauce with the meat, as they believe in the natural flavor of their meat — and they’re right. Normally I always eat my meat with sauce, but here it wasn’t necessary at all. The meat was so juicy and flavorful. I will definitely come back — one of the best meat restaurants around Amsterdam Centrum.
