Lovely place to eat. The service is very friendly, and the food is delicious!

Tasty, cozy, and friendly staff

This is the coziest party cafe in Amsterdam. Still in its original state. Lisa is one of the bartenders and is now also known for her Nollol podcast and all the other things she does on the side. Great to see. If you go to Nol, you really come for an old-fashioned night out 👌

Unfortunately, I was very disappointed with the quality of the sandwiches. The chicken was incredibly dry and had hardly any flavor. The quality was so poor that I threw the sandwiches away immediately. This was absolutely not what I had expected, and the taste and quality were far below par. A very disappointing experience.

Bouncers are extremely racist. No one should be treated this way. The website says it's allowed for everyone but the bouncers don't allow unless you are a white dutch

We came to the Restaurant EAST for an Oyster Night. The oysters were good especially considering the price (1.5€), the seafood risotto was also really good. But this is where the good things end. The service was quite bad even for Amsterdam standard. At first we had to wait to be served for around 30 minutes. We were 5 people and all of us ordered a portion of oysters which were served in one big plate, which would be fine if they gave us our own plates. We had to ask for the plates ourselves. There was a self-service table where we could get the sauces for the oysters, however, when we arrived (20:00), they already ran out of 2 out of 3 options. That beating said, we were only given one very small plate for the sauce despite us being a group of 5 people. Generally the service was just very slow and neglecting. The cherry on top was that they charged us for an additional glass of cava which we never had and we have noticed this only after leaving the establishment. Will not visit again.

I ordered and it didn't get delivered. Waited for over 2 hours. When i called he heard my voice and hung up on me and never answered again. Horrible service and extremely rude the first time we called. Do NOTTT order from this place.

Ordered food but received nothing! Didn't hear the doorbell. Calling was pointless because they were closed. I would like to hear from you because I paid 37 euros but received nothing! I want my money back!

Our go-to place for lunch or dinner! The food is always delicious, the portions are generous, and we always leave happy. Highly recommend!!

They used to have a very sustainable lunch menu, but the new menu offers no vegan options. I was allowed to order the tomato stracciatella salad without the cheese, but not a cent was deducted from the price. And 16.50 for some arugula and tomatoes is quite excessive. At first, the fries really couldn't be served with vegan mayo either (there is plenty of it in the store), but after a manager intervened, it turned out to be possible after all. However, this was immediately the only lunch option. A shame. The place claims to be very sustainable.

We stopped over with two families to sit down and have coffee and something on the side. Our son is allergic to nuts so we wanted to get just a plain brioche roll. The lady from the staff told us that these are just to go and we wouldn’t be allowed to buy it and eat it there (together with the coffee and other stuff we would have bought from the menu). That’s just bonkers behavior, far away from anything I would expect from a brand like this.

Food was absolutely fire. Got the taco platter plus hot sauce on the side. Crushed all 6 tacos in minutes. Friendly polite service!
