De beste restaurants in Amsterdam

For every bit of criticism, the lady behind the counter takes it out on the customer. When business is good, she is very respectful, but when the kitchen isn't running smoothly, you inevitably have to deal with dissatisfied customers who wait a long time. Just after waiting for 45 minutes, others were served who were no less than 15 numbers behind me in line for baka bana that apparently took a long time to arrive. Instead of dealing with this in a professional manner, others were served first who had also complained about their baka bana after me. If you want good service not here. I won't be able to get back later.

Very cozy! Good food and very friendly service.

People travel to Paris for a proper brasserie experience, but honestly, George in Amsterdam might be the better choice. The food was outstanding, beautifully presented, and the service was exceptional. Anna deserves a special mention for her professionalism, knowledge and genuinely attentive service. A huge compliment also goes to the gentleman who prepared our steak tartare right in front of us. Watching him work was an experience in itself. The precision, the presentation and the final result were simply fantastic. You can immediately tell when people truly know their craft. Anyone who appreciates great food and proper hospitality will understand why this is quite possibly the best brasserie in Amsterdam. An absolutely fantastic evening.

I've had no single complaint as a loyal customer over the course of a year and i will be ordering from this place again. After a visit to Amsterdam, we stopped by here for a nice Pumpkin Spice Latte and White Chocolate Latte. On the flyer, the drinks looked very different from what we received. The presentation was disappointing, and my Pumpkin Spice Latte tasted mainly of warm milk. When I pointed this out at the counter, the response I received was: “Don’t pay attention to the appearance, it’s the contents that matter.” Unfortunately, both the presentation and the taste were disappointing. The photos speak for themselves.

Taking so long, lying about delivery time, rude on the phone. Don’t order here.

The coffee is nice, but if I have to get my own saucer for €9, don't get a cookie, have to wait until it's ready, and have to walk to the table myself, it's not worth the €9.

The pizza was incredibly delicious. My first order was chicken with bbq, and I’m absolutely in love with it. I’ll definitely be back for dinner to try other flavors.

It's a shame they've been closed for a while since Bumpy's Chicken opened in the neighborhood. Hopefully, they'll reopen soon.
