I have visited twice for dinner on my way home. The prawn, duck, and chicken pitas tasted great. Everything looked and tasted very fresh. Both cooks I met were very friendly. I will go again. I highly recommend them!
It's funny to see the gentrification of Westerpark. About 20 years ago, there was a café here where beers cost 75 cents and customers enjoyed the sun with oxygen tanks and cigarettes.
Now there's a chic wine bar where you can pour yourself a glass of Chablis for 8 euros. A nice contrast. Still, I had a great meal there, the service was friendly, and I have to say it's a fun concept. So I'll definitely be back.
P.S. My tip would be to let customers load their card with orders and then pay, instead of constantly having to top up their card.
It's ridiculous how you treat people who have had a drink!
That's why people go to snack bars afterward! A quick greasy meal without the ridiculous judgment of an employee! Shame on you! You'll never see me at your place, and I imagine with all the internet fame, many more won't! Disgusting!
It was my first time trying this dish because my sister said it’s a typical Amsterdam food and a must-try. I gave it a try, and the fish was raw, fresh, and slightly salty. I would definitely eat this again when I visit the Netherlands.
Don't order online here.
I was happy to find a gluten-free store with both an online store and a physical store. Unfortunately, my online order was incomplete upon pickup. A refund was promised, but after almost six weeks and multiple attempts to contact them, I still haven't received anything.
My advice: don't buy online; get everything in-store.
Super sweet, cozy, lovely, quaint little sandwich, breakfast shop, Dutch style
Homemade baked goods, very good coffee, gorgeous vibe— like a warm hug 🫂
We had the fluffy pancakes which looked amazing. However, they were too greasy and heavy for breakfast. All I could taste was butter. A bit overpriced…
We booked with the online tool, we received the confirmation email, but once we were there the restaurant was closed. We were not the only group in this situation.
This is by far the best pita place in the Purmerend area. I went with my wife and children. The pitas come in meters, the dough is incredibly thin, crispy, and the ingredients are all fresh. Appetizers come with a side dish, and the salad is seasonal and plentiful. It's truly worth the money. It was as good as Turkey. The owner, Yusuf, was very friendly, and the service was excellent. We will be back soon.
