De beste restaurants in Amsterdam

I was walking by and saw a rat walking inside the restaurant, just zoom in.

I ordered from them first time. I ordered Besan burfi. Firstly, they sent me Besan ladoo without even asking or telling me prior about it. I’m assuming they didnt have burfi in stock and sent ladoo instead. I would be okay with it if they have called me before sending this. Secondly, there is a hair strand in one of ladoo and a small dead insect, something like a fly. The same insect is present in another ladoo. I basically had to throw away one third of my order. This is highly disappointing and unacceptable. Never ordering from them again 👎👎

Loud music, so you can forget about talking. 80% men of all ages, but we were there after a concert, so not sure this evening was representative.

Honestly one of the most unpolite staff I have ever seen. Two girls working behind the bar, when i came in there was only one guest before me.both of the ladies were so occupied talking to the only guest there that they could not even reply to my goodmorning when I came inside. Maybe because I am not dutch? Not a single smile and a really stiff service. I felt like they where doing me a favour by making me a cappuccino. Won't go there anymore.

A good, popular cafeteria with friendly service and reasonable prices.

I came here for a Turkish pizza. The guy behind the counter was friendly, and it was delicious! A week later, I went back, but this time someone else helped me. He was only wearing one glove, and his other hand had black nails, possibly fungus. It would be nice if they put gloves on right away, just to make sure they were clean. He came from the back with gloves and didn't take them off. He touched the money with the gloves and then helped someone else, also wearing the same gloves. What are those gloves good for then?😭 If this could be improved, it would be fantastic, because hygiene is so important.

Lovely people, delicious food, everything great

I absolutely loved this snug little place! The owners are lovely. I had a panini, a stroopwaffel and an espresso, and it was perfect!

Amazing omelett sandwich just what i needed to start the day. We also got a cheese croissant which was really tasty and freshly made. The coffee was great as well very smooth. The woman that served us (i’m guessing the owner) she was so kind and helpful always smiled and showed that she cares.

Best fresh fish in amsterdam, with a unique variety!

Regular staff is very nice. Manager was too set on making sure I was a paying customer and that I would pay my bill before I received my food and can use the toilet. Disappointing but I think it’s cultural. If a Dutch manager for example don’t think I would get treated that way. Nevertheless still recommend the place as the food was good even though they also forgot my utensils and salad dressing as well when I took it to my place.

Similar to some of the experiences others have shared, we encountered xenophobia. A local approached us unprovoked and told us that we are ‘turds,’ that we are on a much lower level than he is, and that Amsterdam is ‘his city.’ It made us feel very unwelcome, and we decided to leave afterward.
