I've always praised the Zusje concept. This time, I went to Gouda for the first time, but unfortunately, it was a disappointing experience. I felt the quality of the food had deteriorated significantly. Furthermore, they forgot to enter the back of the order form three times, meaning our child had to wait each time after we had finished our round. If you know there's a child with you, I assume you'll check the "children's side" of the menu anyway. The service also seemed inattentive, which is a shame.
This is a hidden gem! The rooftop terrace overlooks Groningen and you can have a lunch or drink while still being in the city centre. Went for dinner later again, looking at the Martini Tower. Food is not too complicated but good, friendly staff and to me a perfect spot for a date maybe.
We arrived before closing and they gave us a great mix of grilled fish ! Tasted delicious and wished we had ordered more ! Would come back without hesitation! 👍
First time at Fat Phil's.
It was very difficult to find, hidden somewhere on the outside of "the mall." A grumpy man behind the counter told me there was a minimum wait of 30 minutes. There were only four customers inside... It's a good fast-food chain. We ended up going to 5 Guys instead.
With the Social Deal, it's doable. Otherwise, I wouldn't be eating here so quickly. Friends were a bit more enthusiastic. Plenty of choices, but whether it's all fresh is a concern. And some dishes are a lot smaller than expected.
The food was delicious, and the staff were very friendly, enthusiastic, and competent—a rarity in these times of staff shortages! We had a three-course meal through a social deal: good value, generous portions, and allergies were well taken into account!
(We don't recognize the reviews about unfriendly staff at all, but it might depend on who's working.)
Had breakfast at La Place. It was fine. Friendly staff, ample parking. The restaurant lacks atmosphere and is quite large. Part of La Place and Hotel GR8 are used to house asylum seekers. Nothing against asylum seekers and certainly no nuisance from them, but it doesn't exactly enhance the atmosphere, as asylum seekers walk by barefoot and in shorts with phones in front of them while we were eating.
Unfortunately, my visit today was disappointing. The food was cold, and the rice was hard and unappetizing. I usually have good experiences, but the last two times the food was terrible and not warm at all. All food has become expensive now, which is understandable. It's a shame the quality has declined. I hope things improve. The service is excellent and fast. It wasn't busy. Two tables were full when we left.
The food was delicious. But we had to wait a really long time for our dishes. It wouldn't hurt to have someone come over to fix the electrical wiring. In many places, the wires are just hanging loose, with exposed copper.
Bediening was prima.
We enjoyed Christmas brunch here on Christmas Day. The food was very varied and well-prepared. The dessert buffet at the end was absolutely fantastic! The service was friendly and attentive.
