Great little place! It's actually pretty much the same concept I've always had in mind, what I'd like to have as a shop. Several buildings connected together with lots of records, CDs, DVDs, posters, and more, plus a small café area. Nice to sit down or get takeout. It was also well-attended.
What I found a shame is that between all the tables, which there aren't that many, there's a table with DVDs, for example, so while you're having coffee/food and chatting, there are constantly people next to you searching for things from the bins. In addition, people are regularly waiting and searching for a table because there apparently aren't enough for the demand.
Another thing I found a shame is that the restroom is very vague. There's a door handle with a code that you have to ask the staff elsewhere, after which they seem a bit hysterical about you closing the door, as if no one is allowed to use the restroom. Even though they've put up a sign saying the restroom is upstairs. A bit unusual.
The coffee was very good, though, and I really enjoyed the atmosphere of the interior and the staff behind the bar.
I don't think I'd sit down again anytime soon, and I wouldn't be tempted to buy takeout for the price of coffee, unless, for example, the upstairs section were to become a separate café with a separate restroom, combined with the records, CDs, DVDs, etc. on the ground floor and the other rooms. For me, it's a bit unsettling, vague, and expensive.
Good, but unfortunately a typical tourist trap. A small waffle costs between €12 and €14. Everyone has to decide for themselves if it's worth the money.
This is our favourite restaurant in Amsterdam! The food is always impeccable, the service is fantastic and the owners are so welcoming and go above & beyond. It’s small, intimate and the food (from the bread to the pasta) is all made fresh there every day, plus all ingredients are organic and sourced locally or from specific Italian regions, which is what makes them so delicious. We’re so sorry to hear they’re closing soon and we’re losing our fave local restaurant, but excited for their next chapter and everyone should go before they’re gone!
Even they did not have any wings, wrap and fries serve great as snacks! Rich flavour wrap maybe was to spicy..
The best thing about this place is coctails and hospitality. From coctails descriptions in menu to barmens suggestions everything was beyond expectations. Full of taste, great served and most importat strong! :)
My order was Gnocchi pasta and pear & gorgonzola pizza.
The pasta was delicious and the mushroom flavor was clear, but the pizza had a strong sweet taste — the pear flavor was too strong.
They cancelled the day before (with NO EXPLANATION!!). We were a group of 10 going for my birthday. I had to last minute find another alternative. Still haven’t gotten our refund / deposit back. SCAM!!!!
