De beste restaurants in Amsterdam

We came late, as the kitchen closing (thought we were early) when we knew we apologized but they offered to serve us anyway ❤️ We had two burgers, angus and truffle also we had a parmesan fries, we liked it all.

I always eat delicious poached eggs on a bed of spinach here. The service is incredibly friendly. And dogs are welcome too. Top location!

A charming, quirky bar where time seems to have stood still, unique in the Damstraatjes! Usually only open on Friday and Saturday evenings. Cash payment is accepted, no debit or credit cards. Limited staff, so often closed due to holidays or illness.

A nice cafe in a good location on the banks of the canal. Lots of tourists there.

Let's say first that I don't live in Amsterdam, but I had the opportunity to stop there for work. Food was really good, I really enjoyed it. Service good, but I really care more about the food, that I found not cheap, but I am not from the area.

As a regular guest of the lounge, often spending hours drinking their lovely €7 tea or €8 coffee all afternoon while reading or in company of a friend, spent lots of money here past 1.5yrs. But today, arriving July 5th, 19.30 I had the worst experience. No welcoming personnel (a blonde young lady short hair and a lady with a brown ponytail). But I asked the former if I could sit on the couch, my fav spot. After a while I ordered my tea with her. And then.. nothing. Just ignorant looks. I saw her taking other orders.. and serving them (including a salad, a coffee). Also, no plate with sweets. Then her colleague saw me looking and asked if I wanted to order.. Informed her I already did. She was going to check. Later, I saw the blonde lady serving a new guest who had just arrived, his plate with sweets! That was it for me. Clearly, there was something going on, and I wasn't going to get my drink or any kind of friendly service. I got up, but was curious why this was happening. So I walked to their counter and asked, if there was a reason why she didn't serve me? Excuxes followed "waiting for the bar..", but the sweets are at their counter. "I saw you already had a drink on your table", but that's not possible, because the table is empty, she didn't serve me and also, no confusion is possible with only a few guests. Then her colleague arrived.. seemingly forgotten about me. Totally weird. This personnel differs night and day from all other personnel I've seen working here past 1.5 yrs. Definitely no reason to go back here. Not sure if it was colour related, not drawing conclusions but it could explain her awkward avoidant look from the start.

This place is boring and too dark. Despite the waiter is nice, the food is frozen and I found a hair in my lasagna... Disgusting! The price is reasonable for the food standard. I would not recommend this restaurant. There are plenty of options in Amsterdam!

There was plenty of bread, but it would be nice if there was a bit more variety, perhaps some savoury or sweet options too.

We really couldn't find it. We cycled around it on all sides. Maybe it's closed due to the hot weather or the recent earthquakes in Venezuela.

Lovely traditional pub. Nice terrace with good service. A real hangout pub 🤪 Theo, the owner, is a really nice guy. All in all, a top-notch place.

Yesterday we ate at LIER in the Concertgebouw in Amsterdam. The food was excellent, and the venue, of course, is unique! You can really enjoy a quiet conversation while eating; the acoustics are great. The chairs are comfortable, and the setting is beautiful. The service is friendly, but they could have been a little more attentive to guests' questions.

After I read the reviews for Foodhallen, I thought there would be more vegan options. Regardless, I was relieved to see that Dim Sum Thing had a veggie option. I asked if the dumplings were vegan, and after some asking around, they said yes, so I ordered the steamed veggie dumplings with soy sauce on the side. The outside of the dumplings was as soft as a cloud. On the inside, they had great textures. The flavor was okay. I thought the price was a bit high for 4 dumplings. If I were in the area, I might give them another try. Also, I found the name and decor to be cute and clever. The food is truly terrible. I understand the convenience when you're shopping in the city center, and the decor is quite nice. But I don't understand why everyone says the food is amazing. It simply isn't. It's enough to make you cry.

The location on Google Maps isn't quite right, but the espresso bar is open. We had delicious Sue Bites (gluten-free and vegan)!
