Let's say first that I don't live in Amsterdam, but I had the opportunity to stop there for work. Food was really good, I really enjoyed it. Service good, but I really care more about the food, that I found not cheap, but I am not from the area.
A superb spot on the canal!
We ate inside; it's beautiful, cozy, and very pleasant.
The welcome and service were perfect, very warm!
The menu is excellent, although a little pricey.
And it's right in the center...
And it's a nice change from the hustle and bustle of the surrounding mediocre restaurants!
A moment of calm guaranteed!
Once I arrived I was told I was too drunk to enter, I was told to wait an hour. After waiting an hour with friends I was given the same answer. When I wanted to say something about this I was firmly reminded that there was no room for discussion. The whole evening was ruined, what a bunch of sour bastards those security guards are.
The kunefe was undercooked on the bottom and raw on the inside; most of the desserts on their website weren't there, we didn't like it. Maybe we just had bad luck, but we won't go a second time.
The food is simply inedible. I had a chunk of ginger in my soup. I also got a Hummus sandwich, and they spread it like it was golden butter. The table was incredibly dirty. Don't come here.
I visited Amsterdam last week and was staying at The Social Hub Amsterdam City. For convenience and convenience, I dined for the first time at the Ristorante Bar, where breakfast is served.
The menu features only a few courses, but the food, from pizza to pasta and main courses, is all, as they say, FEW BUT GOOD; in fact, I'd venture to substitute "good" for "excellent."
The atmosphere is youthful, with attentive, active, and friendly yet discreet dining room staff, as is the kitchen staff.
I enjoyed everything so much that I returned for an aperitif and dinner, eating well, spending a fair amount, in a jazz club atmosphere.
The dough is flat and hard making not so enjoyable to eat. They use just regular cheese instead of mozarella. Both pizzas were very dry (probably because of the tower of premade dough with sauce). One of them was way to salty. Won't be coming back. Overall disappointing
We drove 45 minutes to be told there was no room (we were told by phone that we could come by). The staff was difficult and told us the upstairs was fully booked, while in hindsight, half the sky bar was empty.
