We went there with the intention of having some cocktails, when I made the reservation I was told that there is food and with a couple of options for a tasting menu which we took(and gladly chose the cheaper one).
There is a show they do while you're being served the food which is good is an entertaining show with different acts, dancing, singing, etc so that's very enjoyable.
The food is where they lack a lot in my opinion, I'm posting a picture of the options we had, the starter was good we liked it it was a burrata cheese with tomatoes and basil, pretty standard caprese starter, we chose the scallops and the Thai beef salad for second course the scallops lacked seasoning and flavour, the beef salas was really good, for the main course we did the catch of the day and the sous vide chicken both pretty flavourless as well no seasoning, both accompanied by some sauces that also lack depth of flavour so they didn't help with it and for desserts we went with one of each, the cheesecake was normal it wasn't bad but I have had better cheesecakes from supermarkets same for the parfait.
The cocktails were ok as well. The service from the waitresses is really good and they pay very good attention to detail it's just a pity that the food doesn't have that quality.
I feel like they want to use fancy equipment and techniques but they are not properly implemented and you can have as many fancy things as you want but if the food is not seasoned and you put enough flavour into things that won't matter.
One of the best frietstands in the city. A must if you are in Amsterdam. I love the fries with spicy mayo and cheddar.
Also highly recommend trying the croquettes. They come from Holtkamp, the famous Amsterdam patisserie, and they are excellent.
Only stopped for a small bite to eat while walking Amsterdam. This cafe is next to the flower market and is inviting from the outside and in. Service was quick and the Strawberry milkshake and chips with mayo were great. Prices reasonable for a central cafe and would recommend.
It was absolutely delicious.... It wasn't too spicy, and as a Korean, it was the best Chinese food I've had at Arms. We each had wonton soup, ordered two dishes, and two desserts, and it came to 90 euros (we were starving and ate until we were full after coming home from a hailstorm). I don't know if it was because of the harsh weather, but it was incredibly delicious. I was amazed by the stir-fried beef with honey pepper sauce. I've never had such tender beef.... I'll go back again.
Café van Beeren is a very well-rated spot with a lovely location, reasonable prices, and plenty of options. It's an old bar with a beautifully nostalgic feel
After my previous complaint about an unpleasant experience at De Drie Graefjes, I wanted to express my appreciation for how this was handled.
I received a quick and very friendly response by email with sincere apologies. I visited today and was incredibly well-helped by the location manager. I received a delicious chai latte and a red velvet cake. Everything was perfect, and the way I was welcomed and assisted felt very pleasant and professional.
It's great to see that feedback is taken seriously and that genuine efforts are being made to resolve it properly. That definitely deserves a compliment. Thank you for the excellent service!
We ate meat-filled bread on our second visit, and it was just as delicious. It was the most delicious meat-filled bread I've ever eaten in the Netherlands.
As always, the food was delicious. Everything tastes fresh and is of good quality. The service is attentive, fast, and friendly.
I have one small complaint: it's always far too cold in the window seats in winter. I could practically feel the cold air blowing past. That makes the whole dining experience less enjoyable, which is a shame.
