They are well known for their bakery, especially the egg tarts, which are perfectly flaky with a rich, smooth custard filling. By around 2:00 PM, the pastry selection was quite limited, which was a bit disappointing.
After picking up some pastries, I stayed for dim sum. It had been a long time since I last had dim sum here, but everything was just fine.
Overall, it is worth visiting for the bakery, but arriving earlier will give you a much better selection.
Great atmosphere at Gloria's, the place that replaced The Tulp. Lively music, a great ambiance, and top notch drinks, perfect for a fun night out in Amsterdam. A special thanks to Carolina, who was super friendly and attentive and made the experience even better. We were there in December and it's definitely a place worth returning to
Extremely rude staff. The staff were arguing in the restaurant, and that's not surprising. What a mean manager. I would have run away screaming if I'd stayed there any longer.
Got the lunch deal 9.95€ for fried beef noodle and spring roles the food was fantastic solid portion size for the price too. Spring roles honestly didn’t have much filling in them but it is what it is the fried beef noodle was great and for the price compared to other locations in the area can’t complain at all very good.
Upon arrival for our 7:00 PM reservation, we had to wait half an hour at the door. This was very unpleasant, because when I make a reservation, I want to be able to go in immediately; otherwise, there's no point.
Once inside, the service was slow; we waited 45 minutes for a sushi roll, which is absolutely absurd. The food tasted okay, but for these prices and the concept, the quality should be much higher. This completely disproportionately affects the price-quality ratio.
