Old farmhouse style. The food was really good. The price was quite high, but that is a choice. It was very busy and the waiting times sometimes made that noticeable. But definitely recommended.
You have to pay for the toilet, but there aren't even toilet seats on the bowls, and that toilet really looks like a squatters' den. Everything is broken.
We both ordered something with avocado. The Vegetarian Club Sandwich and the Avocado Salad. Both are worth trying. We thought it was a success.
Always nice at Flinders Nieuwweg. When the weather is good, it has one of the nicest terraces in Groningen.
We had a reservation on a Sunday but unfortunately there was no one there except an older man smoking inside. We wanted to sit outside but there were no umbrellas either. So we decided to go somewhere else. Host was also not very welcoming.
The restaurant was absolutely wonderful. The atmosphere was elegant and beautiful, and the food was truly delicious.
What made the experience especially memorable, however, was the incredibly friendly and attentive service. A special thank you to Andrea, Luigi and Lucie for taking such wonderful care of us and making us feel so welcome.
We enjoyed the evening so much that we actually came back the very next day for lunch, which probably says it all!
A truly wonderful experience, and we would happily come back again.
The service was a disaster. We ordered three soft drinks, a mint tea, and a glass of Prosecco. Regarding the Prosecco, the waiter told us we had to open a whole bottle or nothing. There was no possibility of changing it, and when we finally got it, we were served white wine that was nothing like Prosecco.
So don't go to this place; they're completely overwhelmed.
