I should have trusted the reviews already posted, but I still wanted to give it a try. The cake was poorly packaged and therefore damaged on the sides. I had the swirly cake, and the website said I had to select the darkest color I wanted, and then the cake would be filled with two lighter shades of that color. That's not very visible on the cake.
After 10 minutes, someone finally came to take our order. Coffee and apple pie hadn't been served after 20 minutes. Tables around us also had to wait a long time. It's remarkable that on the Sunday before Christmas, there's only one person working. A colleague had been called in. I asked the waiter, after he'd already served several tables, if our coffee was still coming. "Oh, something must have gone wrong with the order..." "Never mind, we're going." "Have a nice evening," was his reply. It's a shame for this restaurant, with its lovely winter terrace, to let guests walk away like that.
We were a group of about 15 people who just wanted to enjoy a few drinks after work. We moved a couple of tables together, the waiter saw us and didn’t say a word. Then the manager came over with an attitude and said, “Next time, be polite and ask before you move the tables,” and immediately walked away.
This was rude, unnecessary, and unprofessional. Instead of managing the situation with respect, she chose to make it unpleasant for her own customers. If you value good service and a positive atmosphere, I’d recommend going somewhere else.
