I get the feeling the people or the organization that built this place have no inclination for this kind of cafe. Perhaps a real estate developer decided it needed a coffee shop and thought it would be fun and trendy to also turn it into a bookstore and cafe? The result is that it's just not quite right. A weak Nespresso served by people who clearly have no experience in the hospitality industry; a few dozen books—a few hundred at most—so no book lover will be drawn to that. The result is that it's mostly office workers picking up takeout, and you're sitting among them when you order a cup of coffee.
