This place is a real gem, with fantastic homemade pasta. The amazing tomato sauce on the appetizer was superb, and it's really nice to sit inside or outside. I can definitely recommend the spaghetti polpette, and the tatufu for dessert was also delicious.
I'm very disappointed. We were looking forward to a nice dinner. First of all, we received a message about an hour beforehand asking if we could still keep our reservation. Since we were out and about, we didn't see it, and when we went to sit at our reserved table, we had to wait because there wasn't one available. Having already eaten in the food halls earlier, I thought a starter described as "substantial" for €21 would suffice. What a joke. Five slices of ham, five slices of sausage, and ten small pieces of cheese with cheap mustard from a tube, plus a small bread basket. It was the most expensive "nothing" I've ever eaten. After that, I ordered a burger, which wasn't particularly good either. All in all, a disappointment. The waiters are trying, but they're not exactly old-school. I'm surprised by how busy this place is.
Has some of the best value based food items in Amsterdam but steak it to cheap and soup of the day should have been bigger but chef cooked food perfectly and service was nice.
We had a delicious meal yesterday; the service was very friendly (a lady) and she took the gluten allergy into account. There are many options and the food is good.
A nice out of the way restaurant we found, we mostly opted for pasta all of which tastes very good with creamy sauces and fresh ingredients. The salad was done well too with crispy vegatables and fresh cherry tomatoes and avocado. The cherry tomatoes were noted to be quite sweet as well.
Outdoor seating was pleasant and the area is fairly quiet during the day. Prices were reasonable.
We came for breakfast this morning, had one Healthy Breakfast and one Beef Sandwich, and really enjoyed them. They have tables next to the canal. It's a great spot to have breakfast and relax by the canal.
I reserved a dinner well in advance for our 1st anniversary. A few days before the date, I suddenly received an email stating that the reservation had been cancelled by the restaurant.
I find this very unprofessional. For such an occasion, you expect at least a personal explanation, for example by phone, instead of an automated message without any reason.
Subsequently, I tried to contact them multiple times, spread over several days, but they simply never answer.
Very disappointing and poor service.
