i went there today at 12.15pm and the doors were closed.
very disapointing
EDIT: I was there today around 11.45 a.m., and the doors were closed. That was really disappointing. At first I thought it was 12.15 p.m., but that was not correct. I checked the door, the lights were off, the door was locked, and apparently no one was inside the place. Considering that the opening hours start at 11 a.m., it is still disappointing, so go ahead and check your CCTV again.
When we arrived, the restaurant was almost empty, yet we were asked for a reservation. Throughout our entire visit, the restaurant was never even half full, yet we were seated right at the front, near the exit. As a result, I was cold the whole time. Initially, the waitress came by far too frequently for my liking, and later not at all. After waiting half an hour (which is far too long for two simple dishes in an empty restaurant), a waiter arrived with the wrong dishes (including a baked eggplant). After another 15 minutes, when I finally reached the waitress, I asked why it was taking so long. She said it was her mistake and the food would arrive in two minutes. Another 10 minutes passed, and the food still hadn't arrived. When it finally did, they offered us something on the house, which we declined because we simply wanted exactly what we had ordered, nothing more and nothing less. Despite our repeated refusal, the waiter presented us with the eggplant that had been mistakenly prepared earlier. He didn't even ask what we liked or what we wanted to eat; he simply left it there and walked away. I ordered Pasta Cacio e Pepe, which is simply pasta with Parmesan and pepper. €24 seems excessive to me. As we were clearing the table, the waiter asked if we wanted to take it with us, which we declined. A bill of over €100 for a bad experience. Average food, poor service, we certainly won't be back. There are thousands of Italian restaurants that offer better food for a quarter of the price.
As an Indian, I’m shocked to taste Sizz Amsterdam’s so called Indian food. It’s absolutely unappetising food, possibly warming up super market bought food for high prices. chicken tikka was like rubber, butter Paneer, I haven’t tasted a worse butter paneer elsewhere, only saving grace was Paneer kofta.
Their cocktails were bad as well, which should have been a clue for us but we decided to give it a chance ( worst decision ever). Please avoid this place
This is my go to place for a great burger in Amsterdam! It’s a classic burger with fantastic soft buns and perfectly cooked smashed patties. The chicken tenders are always delicious ! Will definitely go again.
I come here for lunch every month, just before my facial. It's a wonderful combination of delicious food and a lovely atmosphere. Friendly people. Fantastic!
With my company I had to catch up many years of living the life. We didn’t care much what to eat, we both like Japanese food anyway, and asked the staff just to bring nice food and that’s what they did. A regular serving of different delicious dishes throughout the evening delivered by very polite staff. All in all a Very satisfying experience indeed!
