How incredibly disappointing when you look forward to a nice Italian dinner, walk up there for half an hour, and discover that the place is not there. Shut down your Google maps page!!!
A chic place with a local flair, delicious beer, and Dutch snacks. The atmosphere is great, though it can be noisy, but it's perfect for a fun get-together. The staff is cheerful and friendly. And if you're lucky, you might even spot the establishment's furry pet.
I was at the door this morning at 7:25, but the bakery didn't open until after 8:00. If the opening hours are incorrect, please update them on your Google page.
I had an excellent experience here. The Ali Nazik was easily the best I’ve ever had, perfectly balanced flavors, tender meat, and incredibly fresh ingredients. The rest of the food we tried was also clearly prepared with care and tasted fresh. On top of that, the staff were welcoming, attentive, and genuinely friendly, which made the whole visit even better. Highly recommended.
Turkish Breakfast was absolutely amazing 10/10.
Everything else was fantastic too. The family have been coming here for years and will continue to for many more.
Great service with a smile from the incredibly handsome guy with the reddish-brown hair. And delicious hot chocolate! Too bad there wasn't any vegan whipped cream.
What a wonderful experience! The restaurant looks beautiful and has a warm, atmospheric ambiance. The team is incredibly friendly and professional, and you immediately feel welcome. The food was exquisite; carefully prepared, beautifully presented, and with great attention to detail. Absolutely recommended – we will definitely be back!
There are definitely positive aspects to mention, such as the decor, the attention to detail, and the atmosphere. It all looks beautiful, and the furniture is truly fantastic.
Unfortunately, I wouldn't eat there again. First of all, I felt like there was no extractor fan in the kitchen. The whole place was blue with smoke. I felt incredibly short of breath because I have asthma. Unfortunately, my asthma also flared up afterward. I felt like it was more of a snack bar than a restaurant. Furthermore, the food was simply not good. Soggy, wet buns (not warm or grilled). The hamburger was also raw inside. The fries were good, and you got a fairly large portion, which was a plus. The ice cream afterward wasn't good; we didn't even finish it.
We also had to wait over half an hour for our food. The drinks didn't arrive until after our meal, which is a bit odd.
There wasn't even a friendly greeting upon arrival.
What also struck me was how noisy it was. There were very few people there, yet we couldn't hear each other. The music was also incredibly loud, concert volume. This wasn't pleasant. I expected fifties music for dinner, but they didn't play that. But that's just personal taste.
One of the most authentic Bakmie in Amsterdam !! (coming from indonesian living in Ams) I think they have a very nice chewy noodle style that I miss a lot!!!~ and the soup with bakso is just perfectt ++they have a fried chicken skin OMGGGGG IT TASTE AWESOMEEEEEE (super crunchy, salty, umami perfect!) the place is also comfortable and nice with some seatings and the owner is expectedly friendly! would highly recommend (and might be one of my go-to place when i miss home) ❤️
We visited this café-bar expecting a lively board-game spot, but it has changed quite a lot. 🎲 The place is no longer the fun, youthful games bar you’d imagine from Google Maps. Instead, it has become more of a traditional pub for older gentlemen who enjoy a quiet beer, and the games are simply there in the background rather than part of the atmosphere. 🍺
It doesn’t even go by the same name listed online, and the vibe is very different from what we expected. There’s no real energy, no playful feel and nothing particularly modern or cool about it. If you’re looking for a proper board-game bar, this isn’t the place, but if you want a calm drink in a classic pub setting, it might suit you. 👍
