De beste restaurants in Amsterdam

I ordered the lamb, and unfortunately it was the toughest lamb I’ve ever had. The meat had completely dried out and there was no tenderness left at all. The meat was almost stuck to the bone and incredibly difficult to separate from it. Even the fat had become tough and almost cartilage-like. As a side, I ordered the potato option described on the menu as being served with “butter, garlic butter, or sour cream.” I honestly didn’t expect to receive what was basically a plain baked potato with what seemed like ordinary store-bought butter on the side. Unfortunately, my experience wasn’t good at all. I ended up with very dry, tough lamb and a disappointing baked potato.

Great service, nice people. Conveniently located close to LIDL, so a nice place to grab lunch after groceries.

Their breakfasts and coffees were delicious. The service was a little slow. The girls working there were very sweet. (June 2026)

A small café that serves delicious food. I recommend the pierogi! Unfortunately, because it's such a small place, it feels a bit messy. The products are stacked in boxes that you have to walk around to get to the restroom, and the restroom itself leaves much to be desired. For the food, yes. Atmosphere: 1.

We stumbled upon this restaurant by chance while walking around Amsterdam. The prices are very reasonable. The staff are friendly and polite. The pizzas are good. I didn't quite like the meatballs.

Super dirty never again and the times are incorrect

Hugely disappointed with the hygiene and service at this establishment during my visit today, September 22, 2026, between 4:30 and 5:00 p.m. Behind the counter stood an employee (a brunette) who kept touching her freshly cut hair. When I asked if she also came into contact with the food — which seems logical to me given the hygiene — I was immediately met with a rude response. The floor manager only made the situation worse. Instead of taking the feedback seriously, he argued with me. A professional manager ought to know how important hygiene is (especially within Surinamese cuisine) and addresses his staff, rather than the customer. Additionally, the nasi was far too salty and barely edible.

I just gave a chance to try their midye baklava, however it was a huge disappointment🫣i will never go there again😔

The kapsalon was really delicious! The portion was a good size, and everything tasted fresh and flavorful. Definitely enjoyed it and would order it again! 😋

Quick and friendly service. Tasty crispy fries and a Mexicano with a generous portion of peanut sauce. A nice quick bite before the concert at the Zonnehuis.

Calls themselves a warung but they are just Indians; the tastes differ completely from Surinamese cuisine anyway. Just ridiculous.
