The worst welcome I've ever received at a Starbucks!!! Yet I've visited them in Morocco, Spain, Belgium, even in France, in Paris, they serve better. A young woman serves me and she's obviously very, very unhappy that I don't speak English well enough and that I order several things (well, yes, what an idea on my part not to just take a cake or a drink and leave, it's an extra job for her!). I'm going to teach this impertinent woman a very French expression: when you're not pretty, you try to at least be polite! I'll never set foot in that place again. A little training from Starbucks on "how to serve customers properly and learn to do your job well" is in order. And if this young woman (who seems to be of Italian origin) doesn't like her job, there's also resigning which could be a benefit for her, a word of advice, it's better not to work in customer contact anymore, it's probably not for her.
Terrible service. Went with my mom and ordered two cappuccinos, a carrot cake, and a sandwich. They were out of carrot cake despite it being early in the morning, so we had to pick something else and chose a pastry instead. The coffees and pastry arrived after 15 minutes, which is a lot considering the simple order, but the sandwich never came. We waited another 20 minutes, then noticed they started serving people who arrived later. When I asked about the sandwich, the waitress claimed they “didn’t get the order” even though she was the one who took it and repeated it out loud. No apology, just asked if I wanted something else instead, which made no sense. I ended up canceling because it would take another 20+ minutes.
Coffee was not good, and the pastry was just okay. The coffee was served boiling in a cup without a handle and with no saucer, so there was no way to hold it comfortably or place the spoon anywhere. Overall, terrible service, zero accountability, and a weak excuse for their mistake.
Restaurant Oeverzicht is a nice place with a nice, relaxed atmosphere. I mainly come here in the afternoons, often for lunch or after work, and it is always a nice experience. The staff is generally very quick and helpful. When it is a bit busier, it can sometimes take a bit longer, but personally I have never experienced this as disturbing or annoying.
The shisha is of good quality and the food is always good. It is also very atmospheric in the evenings — especially in the summer, when the terrace is open, it is really enjoyable.
Parking is generally not a problem; there are usually enough parking spaces nearby.
In short: a nice place to relax, both during the day and in the evening. Definitely recommended!
The staff was adequately hospitable, the location is decent, and the ambience is completely fine.
But the food is shockingly bland. Nothing tasted BAD, but there was barely any flavor to anything. Not only was "medium" spicy completely absent of all spice, the food wasn't really seasoned at all and tasted like the cooks had a pathological fear of salt. If you're someone who detests the idea of flavor, eat here.
