The service was not customer-friendly and uninterested.

A place to go for families with small children who can enjoy a large space to play while the parents can enjoy some time, having breakfast or something to drink. It is a very pleasant place.

Very friendly service, they came regularly to ask if everything was alright, the food was of good quality, tender meat, plenty of side dishes and portions are fine. Cozy place to eat, nice atmosphere.

Especially the chicken satay, it is so delicious, and the service is very friendly and professional.

I think they should hire a waiter; he's very rude and provides poor service.

Cozy terrace, nicely situated on Poeleplein. The lunch looked delicious, but the chips with the Club Sandwich were less tasty.

Last Wednesday, September 30, 2026, I ordered a goat cheese salad. I received a large, deep plate with a bag of lettuce and on top of it, 1 slice of warm goat cheese. 3 mini tomatoes, a few croutons, and 5 pecans. I was totally surprised. Was this my goat cheese salad for 18.50? Unbelievable. Too meager, no dressing mixed in, no bread on the side. The pear compote was sold out. After asking several times for the dressing, among other things, and complaining about the meager salad, the manager came over and I was eventually helped reasonably well and my salad was replenished. Even an extra slice of goat cheese. But one thing I do know: never again a goat cheese salad at Wonder’s. Goat cheese is apparently expensive. Then take it off the menu. Unfortunately, I didn't take a photo.

1x en nooit meer. Waren in de buurt op 19 juli 2025. En dachten daar gaan we een hapje eten. Ik schrijf dit op het toilet, want vanaf thuiskomst zit ik hier al op. Eten stond lang onder de warmtelamp. Strontvliegen vlogen rond de sushi en in de rest van het restaurant. Ijsschep ligt in bakje brak water wat niet gespoeld wordt.

Broken benches, dirty windows with Christmas lights, sticky table, sticky menu, sushi falling apart, tasteless. In short... see you never!!

We had a delicious meal. Portions are just right. We will definitely be back!!!

Bartender is made to do everything while waitress has smoke breaks and never once comes by to check on you. Food is not authentic mexican but I guess it is good enough to eat. Ask for salt you'll need it. Salsa no flavor or spice. Drinks are decent. I wouldn't come back and honestly only posted this for my fellow eaters out there to beware.

Friendly staff and the food was delicious. Had the crispy chicken and the smash burger. Both were very tasty. Good flavor and a nice sauce came with it. The staff is attentive and friendly.

Café in the City is a nice spot on Leidseplein with a lively atmosphere. The staff is friendly and generally ensures a good experience. The food is what you would expect, and the sushi is reasonably priced. However, the lobster was disappointing; it was overcooked and therefore tough. Unfortunately, no new ones were offered, so we ate it right away. During club hours, the bouncer can come across as a bit rude to men, which makes the reception less pleasant. As soon as the DJ starts, the atmosphere picks up and it becomes fun, although it can get quite noisy. All in all, a place with potential, but with somewhat mixed experiences.

Tourist trap! Poor food, overpriced and terrible service. One of us waited 20 extra minutes for his meal, another was charged €9 for a little extra pasta. We were also charged for extras we never ordered. Avoid this place!
