Unfortunately, it was a disappointing experience. The reserved table still had to be prepared. After that, we were able to be seated quickly. After taking our orders, everything went wrong.
First, a dish was served that wasn't for us. Then, our appetizers weren't served at the same time. Because of this, we only realized later that one appetizer had been forgotten. The rest of the group was almost finished when the last appetizer was finally served (after asking twice).
When the main courses were served, the appetizer hadn't been cleared away yet. So clearing and serving had to be done simultaneously, which felt a bit messy. Unfortunately... a main course was forgotten there too. This time, I quickly checked and yes... forgotten. It could still be made, but that took a while, of course. A shame, because everyone else was already eating.
We ended up asking for an extra plate and everyone made an extra dish together by handing over something.
The food: The scampi was way overcooked, and the skewers were also very dry. (Frozen?) The gyros was almost black. The meatballs in tomato sauce were the size of a tangerine (2 pieces) and definitely not a starter.
Fortunately, dessert went well. Partly because the heroine of the evening came back to check if everything was complete.
The food wasn't great. The restaurant was a bit cramped and the service chaotic, so unfortunately, we won't be back. The restrooms are also in need of renovation. We skipped the salad bar.
I do want to give one compliment. The blonde waitress did her utmost to correct the mistakes made around her. Unfortunately, this girl can't be everywhere at the same time. She also served us dessert at the restaurant's expense. Very polite. Only 5 stars for the service for that girl.
We ordered catering for a birthday party for 70 people. Everything was ready at the agreed-upon time. We were even able to pick up the food a little earlier than normal, at our request. Communication via WhatsApp was also pleasant, and we always received a quick response. All the guests were very positive about the food. Highly recommended!
We dined for 2.5 hours.
There is a decent variety, especially when it comes to sushi. Many types to choose from, which is a plus. They also have finger foods, some Chinese dishes, and a wok and grill station where you can pick your own ingredients. There are several sauces for the wok, four types of fish, and four types of meat for grilling. They have salads and fish.
The food itself was okay. Nothing stood out in taste. Some of the fish and appetizers did not look very fresh, which lowered the experience for me. Fresh fruit was available but the selection was limited.
Service was smooth. No waiting time at all. We arrived earlier than our booking and were seated right away. The time started as soon as we got the table, which was fine. The restaurant was also not very busy when we visited.
One chef was lively and friendly, which was nice to see. The other chef clearly looked unhappy. Maybe just exhausted. 😅
For the price, I expected more choice. I have been to other all you can eat places in the same price range with much more variety and better presentation.
Overall, it is fine if you want a calm all you can eat dinner, but do not expect anything special.
Expensive, the borito was literally cold, and so was the meat. My girlfriend had a spicy borito and felt incredibly nauseous afterward. The woman who made the borito was grumpy and not customer-friendly. My male colleague, on the other hand, was sweet, greeted me immediately upon arrival, and was relatively calm. The atmosphere wasn't great, but it was good. Too expensive and I wouldn't go back.
This pub hosted Marillion fans for a tribute concert. The service was very efficient despite the crowd and very friendly (the bartender even gave my partner a free second beer – should I be jealous? 🤣). They had a wide selection of draft beers.
Excellent restaurant with an Italian twist, suitable for medium-sized groups. A bit pricey, though. A special recommendation: Sgroppino, which is lovingly prepared tableside.
I was absolutely thrilled with El Asador! The moment you walk in, you feel the warm, inviting atmosphere – the lighting, the music, and the aroma of the grill instantly make you want more. The staff was incredibly friendly and attentive without being intrusive.
The steak was simply perfect – tender, juicy, and grilled to perfection. The side dishes were also fresh and flavorful, especially the grilled vegetables and the homemade chimichurri sauce.
You can tell that the food is cooked with passion. The value for money is truly excellent for Amsterdam! I highly recommend El Asador to anyone who loves good meat and authentic South American cuisine. I will definitely be back! 💪🏻
New to Lelystad, we wanted to try the Chinese takeout here. Unfortunately, the dishes were incredibly disappointing. The fried plantains were soggy, the noodles overcooked, and the mini spring rolls were soft, half-cold, as if they'd been microwaved. Such a shame... We won't be ordering from here again.
I absolutely do NOT recommend this restaurant!! I placed an order two hours ago. It's now been two and a half hours and the order still hasn't arrived. After calling countless times, I keep getting excuses. I'll never order from here again!!
They refused to split the bill for a table of seven, claiming it would be "too much work." They were quite pushy about it, and with such high prices, you'd think they could afford decent software to split the bill. There are plenty of other restaurants, in the same or even lower price ranges, where you don't have to beg to split the bill. It's clear they can create bills at will in seconds if you play along with their charade, so I'm not sure exactly what their intentions are, but it seems somehow fraudulent. I'm glad we didn't order food, anyway.
